I used in Pacific Ocean surfing and in saltwater tide pool 5 feet deep it survived.. 2 stars out of 5 .. if you use bluetooth it's great if you want to use a cell like everyone else it's a screaming situation

The case is generally very good, but seems to still let little dust particles in when the charging and/or headphone ports open, as I'd see them stick to the inside of the screen protector. If you can deal with this, it's a good case. If it drives you nuts, it might be a harder sell.

We want to assure you that these results are not typical. Of course, a slight degradation of sound can be expected when a speaker is covered in a case, but this impact should be minimal. Typically, the quickest and most effective way to alleviate any audio issues with your LifeProof case will be to remove your device, blow some air through the speaker membrane on the case, and then re-install your phone with the bottom going in first. Try and pay special attention to make sure the speakers on your phone are lining up correctly with the vents on the case. This will allow for a clear path of sound.
