You shouldn’t have to open the charge port door to be heard properly. We are sorry that this FRE case is giving you audio trouble, this is not normal and we certainly want to help out!
Typically, the quickest and most effective way to alleviate any audio issues with your LifeProof case will be to remove your device, blow some air through the speaker and microphone membranes on the case, and then re-install your phone with the bottom going in first.
