I bought this case 4/7/18 to replace my otter box defender, come to find out the person on the other end of the line can’t hear me on speaker phone, and my voice is muffled off speaker. Did some research online and found multiple complaints, phone carriers blaming cases, cases blaming carriers. The “solution” was to open the lightning charge port to “uncover” the microphone. I’ve tried opening the lightning port, didn’t help at all, I have to practically yell in the phone for the other person to hear me. Save your money, life proof isn’t what they used to be. The cases for the iPhone 6 didn’t have this problem at all. I’m 28, everyone from my wife, to parents, to customer service reps with companies I order from, to my coworkers all have the same complaint when I call. None of these problems happened with the otter box, I will be switching back, and hopefully trying to return this case for a refund.
