There is a reason it’s called lifeproof

Phone has been accidentally dropped in a bucket of water unknowingly and recovered after a 15 minute search for the phone, it was perfectly fine. Dropped phone multiple times, phone doesn’t bounce around like with other covers keeping it safe. Good screen clearance from elevated edge to protect screen. Surprisingly thin. Phone is still in perfect condition!

I do like that I can grab my phone after getting it if the pool or right after washing the dishes. I've heard too many unfortunate stories to submerge my phone in the case. Case does make an already big phone even bigger. I would suggest holding this case before spending the money on it.

However, I could not give up a tiny less functionality. Had to press buttons harder, fingerprint scan usually didn't work, and lost a little volume. The case was compact and light and easy to install.
