    Nice Sleek Case

This case offered exactly what I was looking for. A slim profile to avoid bulking up my phone too much, but enough protection in case of an accident. The only drawback is that the headphone jack requires an adapter (included) to plug in headphones.

The lifeproof is a must have for any phone. The case is ideal for kids and those that are outdoors alot. Protects against water and dirt. The profile is not bulky.

    Lifeproof did it again

Purchased it this morning and went home and did water test like it's recommended. I forgot about the dang thing under water ( dang honey-do list) are murder. Finally checked for water inside case, nothing inside of case---great. Installed phone and ran some checks. Everything was very responsive except for one thing. Fingerprint setup went well but I guess I'm holding my mouth wrong---hehe but sometimes I have to put my finger on it twice to get it to open up, not often tho. Probably user fault. Overall everything was great, not like with my Lifeproof case for the 5. Lifeproof has a winner with the iPhone 5S case. This case seems thinner and more solid than the one for 5.

It's the perfect size, it fits easily in the pants pocket. The only problem I found so far is the button for RING - SILENT switch it is very hard to activate. Also the ring sound is diminish but using the phone itself is no problem. The price at Best Buy was excellent.

    Saved my phone numerous times

I finally killed my life proof case after a full year. I had the version made for the iPhone 5. I have dropped my phone too many times to count and this case has saved it ! This last fall finally caused the case to separate where the rubberized edging meets the screen so I had to replace. I purchased the newest case and when I transferred my phone over I have to say that the phone itself looks like its brand new. Can't comment on the new features of this 5s case as my phone is a 5, however I am completely satisfied with my old case may it R.I.P.

Good - some tips for the buyer make it great

My older phone (a 3GS) had a case that was more style than function - it was leather and had a flip cover. Taking photos was a pain, it collected dust, the cover would slip and there'd be a black shadow at the corner of pictures. This case does not suffer any of these problems. So... on to the two tips. 1 - online reviews by people show them handling the case as if they're testing a tomato for ripeness. You'll get smudges and fingerprints on the inside cover, so (obviously, but maybe not to the professional testers) don't touch the inside cover. If you do, lint free cloth the streaks and prints out because they'll annoy the heck out of you. 2 - when you seal the case, you're sealing in the air. If there are bubbles on the fingerprint reader / home button and you're using this with a 5S, it'll have a hard time reading your print. HERE'S HOW TO CORRECT THAT. Put the phone into the front of the case. Pressing the back of the phone firmly into the case, use the lint free cloth to 'roll' the air bubbles out of the home button area (this plastic is flexible and curved like a lens... it's meant to curve in like the button, not out like a bubble). You may have some small bubbles on the outer borders, but that's OK. Then, when you snap the back cover on, no air bubbles will be able to push out this plastic and the fingerprint function should work as per normal. 3 - one reviewer mentioned having to screw the headphone plug off and on again to use headphones. This IS a pain, but to keep the case watertight it's a necessity. I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones (Rocketfish RF-MAB2) that work very well and no unscrewing necessary and they recharge via USB. BestBuy are out of this model, but Arctic Cooling and Motorola are two brands currently available that get good reviews. If you're a music listener, Bluetooth 'phones are the way to go.

    Awesome Case!

This case is the best! It's not bulky like the OtterBoxes and it protects your phone really well. The only reason why I am giving a 4 star is because the charging port is only big enough to fit Apple's charger. Their flimsy cord broke so I bought a longer and thicker one from RadioShack and it's too big for the charging port. I will be returning the case because I love my 6ft threaded cord. Great case if you don't have a third party cord.

Worst product. Leaked after 3 weeks. Ruined phone

I purchased this product for my son. It leaked after 3 weeks. It was tested prior to usage and it worked several times after getting it wet. After it failed the new apple 5S phone was ruined. Lifeproof does not stand behind its product. They do not warranty damaged phones. It is in the fine print on page 8 of owners manual. You never know when this product will fail, so it's pointless using it under water. Their customer service department is worthless because they don't care that the product failed. There is no point in guaranteeing the case because when it leaks your phone is ruined. I would have never purchased this product if it stated on the packaging that they will not reimburse for damaged phones.

    Overall a good case

I had the lifeproof for iPhone 4S and loved it. Got the iPhone 5 version and hated it due to touchscreen issues and problems with hearing callers and them not hearing me with the case on. After going back to Otterbox for a year, I decided to give Lifeproof another chance with my 5s. Overall I am happy with it. No problems with touchscreen sensitivity. Call volume is plenty loud and I haven't had anyone complain that they can't hear me which is a major improvement from the 5 case. As far as the touch ID, you have to be careful putting the case on to minimize bubbles on the home button, then go in to settings and delete your fingerprints and re-do them with the case on. This worked well for me. I do wish they would put a slightly thicker screen protector on it that isn't wavy. This is slightly annoying but not a deal breaker for me.

    Expensive & Not LIFEPROOF!!

Great concept, but poor materials and process design execution. I have experienced two cases that have both failed at the same points: home button membrane tears away from case substrate and the Apple window on rear of case also separates. I have lost two phones as I fell for their embellished marketing campaign. Save yourself the money and headache and spend that hard earned cash on Apple Care or a warranty through your carrier. At first, I did not believe these reviews , but two phones later - these reviews are legit! The cases are LifeProof on Day 1, but not yet worthy of withstanding the rigors of Life. A Ziplock sandwich back works much better and is more reliable. Don't expect much in the areas of performance and customer satisfaction, and I promise you won't be disappointed! First case purchased from Best Buy (legit) and second case was shipped by LifeProof warranty claim. Looks like a third case is awaiting my newest phone. No thank you!

    This case sucks!

I bought this case trying to get away from another manufacture but it looks like i might go back. The application of this case is easy. It is water tight, but to acive this there isn't really any hole for the speaker so the case vibrates a ton when listing to music. Also there are raised areas on the screen protector off the ear piece and the lower part of the actual screen that make it almost impossible to use the phone. You have to double tap every selection made to get the phone to respond. Also this case increases the amount of typos that will occur and slow down typing/texting speed. I am taking this case back as it has rendered my phone unusable.
