The case does not seal as well as I expected. Lets in humidity and the clear cover is too thin.

Great phone for those who don't need complications

Case is strong and doesn't take up a lot of space.

I was so happy to buy a case that was proof everything. This case cost me 85.00. when I placed my new Lg G5 phone in the cover the sound was horrible. When I received calls it sounded like a broken speaker. I new it was the case and not my phone.

We purchased this case and found it to be a disappointment. The screen was not accessible at all. Phone calls couldn't be answered because of the front cover over the screen. It might work on other phones, but not the LG G5. I would not recommend it for that phone at all.

Less than 2 months after I bought this case for my daughter's phone, the piece over the charging port broke completely off. I also had a Life proof case for my old Samsung S5 phone that the piece over the charging port broke. This renders the case as not being waterproof anymore, hence the integrity of these cases are compromised and useless. I definitely will not buy another Life proof case or any phone.

The case does not line up very well. You cant seem to access apps or actions on the side of the screen.

I purchased this case for $79.99 immediately after buying a new LG G5. Shipping was fast, and the packaging was neat and adequate. First, this product adds significant bulk to the phone. Bare handling, the LG G5 is thin and sleek, but inside the Fre case, it feels much larger. The construction of the casing is solid, and comes together nicely with a removable gasket around the entire circumference of the shell. The headphone jack and power port are the only breach points into the case not protected by the gasket, and they each have a rubber seal. The power port is on a sturdy hinge and the headphone jack has a screw cap on a lanyard to prevent losing these critical pieces. There are film segments to cover all other ports, speakers, and lenses/sensors, which are watertight, but seem prone to puncture if handled roughly or poked. The screen protector is a bit flimsy, and would not prevent cracking if impacted with a sharp object. Operationally, the phone maintains all its functions. The speakers are still pretty loud despite not being open the the atmosphere. Call volume became something of an issue, with noticeable distortion of the earpiece at top volume. Also, using a headphone jack made removal of the plug difficult since it was deeply recessed into the case. There is an included cable to output to waterproof headphones, but keeping that screwed into the top of the phone is unattractive and unwieldly. All in all, this case does deliver watertight protection to the G5 in a solid case, but falls short in screen protection and eliminates the streamlined design of the phone. For the value, it falls somewhat short of expectations. If the screen protector offered tempered glass instead of reflective (and glare-prone) plastic, then this would receive a near perfect score. Bulk can be overlooked considering the protection offered by the case.

I don't feel like the fitment was as good on this case as other Lifeproof Fre cases I've used (mainly iPhones), but it's the best case I found for the LG G5. Typical of Lifeproof, the earpiece sound is degraded some, but I primarily use Bluetooth for phone calls, so that's not an issue. I had two of these cases and both passed all water tests in both my kitchen and the real world with the case inside!

The case fits well and seems like it will protect my G5 from water/dust. But, the screen cover is film and not tempered glass, so, I'm skeptical about whether it will protect the screen from a really sharp edge -- I think a sharp rock or constant scraping with keys will likely render the case useless since the film will likely get cut thereby making the case no longer waterproof. There's a reason film protectors come in multi-packs and are so cheap -- they're meant to be disposable. Also, tempered glass screen protectors are better for shatter resistance, so, I tried to fit my glass protector under the protector, but that makes the touch screen incredibly frustrating to use. For this kind of price, it really should have come with a glass screen protector or a replaceable film. August 18th, 2016 update: none of my high end earphones can plug in, because the opening for the earphone is too small. This was my deal breaker. Returning.

The idea for the waterproof case was very good but the actual case design stinks - especially when you consider the case is this side of $100. The main problem with this design is that the little door that opens on the bottom ( to charge the phone ) has a tendency to come off and go missing as it is only held in place by a small spring loaded pin ( similar to a pin that holds a watch band on - except that you are constantly opening and closing the door to charge the phone ). Also, the waterproof seal for the door ( blue insert ) is also only popped in place and can easily be lost as well negating an otherwise decent waterproof case for your expensive phone. Save your money and buy an Otterbox or other similar case w/o the waterproof feature until the Lifeproof case is made better and redesigned.

This was excellent when new - my son had destroyed a phone by dropping it in the creek while fishing == however it wasn't long until the oring stretched out and the case was bot useful for its intended purpose. I would like to be able to purchase a pack of several replacement orings with this case.

The concept and fit is great however there are a few flaws that make this case unenjoyable. First, the phone will stay in the lockout screen when the case is on the phone. Something about it blocks the light sensor and the phone will not register double taps or even the power button unless you are in a highly lit room. Therefore every time you wanna use your phone, unless you are in complete light, you have to take the case off. This caused me to lose the blue rubber membrane in the first 2 weeks from taking the case off so much which now makes the case susceptible to water. That was the selling point to me and now it's no different than a much cheaper case. Secondly the sound quality of the person on the other end call is terrible. All you can hear is a muffled voice and the vibration of the rubber membrane over the speaker. It almost sounds like someone is talking to you through a blown speaker until you take the case off and the sound goes back to being crystal clear. So overall I'm not to impressed with this product but I can't justify throwing away my 80$ so I'm stuck with it. Like I said, the idea is great, the execution, not so much. I'll never stray from Zerolemon cases again.

Great lightweight case! Looking forward to using it more while on vacation to truly test out the waterproof capabilities while poolside/oceanside.

Not too bulky for being waterproof. Nice to have the protection around the pool.

No worry to drop on floor or water. Now G5 is like a rugged phone.
