The case is very lightweight, but the product is expensive. Not sure if it is worth the money. Was upset that the Best Buy rep said that if the case doesn't protect the phone in water that I would get a refund. That option is only for Verizon customers. No bueno Best Buy. Make sure the folks in your mobile store are up to date with their promotions.

I bought this case today and am returning it tomorrow. After lots of time spent making sure that there was no dust and that the case was clean, it was fully put on only to find out that the fingerprint scanner didn't work. I could barely even get it to recognize that I was running my finger across it. I tried to add a different finger and again, it wouldn't work. I'm very disappointed because this was the best waterproof case that I could find for my phone that claims to support the fingerprint scanner but it doesn't. The problem is where the case lands on the phone in proximity to the scanner because it pushes your finger up before the pad can be fully scanned. I hope that they fix this problem soon but unfortunately it's too late for me. If you don't want to use that function, ever, then this seems like it would be a good case to have.

This is a Lifeproof case. Need there be anything more to say. The price was good and it is a wonderful, waterproof case for the Samsung phone. I love the color. This case will protect your phone and it slides in and out of pockets very easily. Not too bulky for the protection that it gives.

I have this case in bright punk. The reviews where really bad. I almost didn't buy it. But I knew my phone wouldn't last without a lifeproof case. So I bought it n thank god I didn't listen to all Your Negative Remarks.This Is The Best Case Ever.I've Dropped It. GOTTEN Water on it. I'VE done everything to it it's Just Incredible. I Love It. Without it my Phone wouldn't be here!!I will buy this case again n again. Best money I've ever spent.

Initially I was happy with my case. It was rugged and provided excellent physical protection. So I decided to use my phone in the case as a waterproof camera while on vacation climbing a waterfall. Big mistake. After the second pool, dead phone. When I was able to get out of the water, I took the phone out of the case and took it apart to dry it out. After drying for 2 days, I recharged and powered up. The phone initially wouldn't work. I dried it out another 2 days in rice and tried it again. It did eventually start working but now the screen is always all bright white and unusable. So I just flushed $175 on a replacement phone. I retested the case by sealing it up good without the phone an placing it on the bottom of a 3' deep pool for 30 minutes. Water in the case. I suspect the charging port door looses seal from opening and closing to charge the phone. I now have a wireless charger. Good new is that Lifeproof is good about replacing the case under their warranty. My new case is being sent to me, but I will never feel safe in water with my phone again.

I bought this case when I purchased my Galaxy S5. Water tested it, and put it on my phone. Great..... I loved everything about this case, until I started making phone calls. People started telling me about background noise and echoing of their voice when talking to me. After doing a few tests, I found the case was causing echoing of their voice. Everything sounded perfect on my end, but not on theirs. I found if I open the bottom charging door completely, when I am on a call, then there was no echo on the other end. But it would come back as soon as the door gets closed. If it wasn't for this 1 issue, this would be the PERFECT CASE. But this is a BIG problem. If you can live with opening the charging door on EVERY CALL, and risk the door possibly breaking from constant open & close, then buy this case. Otherwise, look for something else. Just remember this is the ONLY water proof case.

I've had this case for little over a month now. I do like how durable it is and helps with protecting my phone. However, every time I receive a phone call, I have to remove the cover from the USB charging slot or the other party won't help me. I've found that the easiest way to talk to someone else so that they can hear me is to use the headphones that came with the S5. Regarding the headphone jack cover. It has fallen off more than once when using my headphones. Unfortunately, the last time it fell off was while I was running. I was unable to retrieve the cover so now the purpose of the case to protect against water more so that the phone currently does is pointless. Last qualm that I have is that this case doesn't allow for the wireless adapter to be used, making charging a little bit of a pain having to remove two covers (both the case and the phone's) prior to charging. I would love to see LIFEPROOF create an option where you can use the OEM Samsung Galaxy S5 Wireless Charging Battery Cover and the ability to purchase a new headphone jack cover since the one they include with the case is so flimsy and easily falls off.

Fairly thin case to offer such a high level of protection. I have had no loss of sound during audio playback and have been told there is no loss of clarity during phone calls. The waterproof opening for the charging port is easy to open and very large to allow charging. Very happy with this purchase.

The case is awesome, works with fingerprint just need to change approach to how you do it. The only major flaw is that people constantly say they cannot hear me. Through trial and error I have found it is the case. Speaker is okay as well as use with headphones. Very irritating problem for both parties in the conversation. Due to breaking tons of phones, I still am sticking with the case.

Being a very satisfied Lifeproof customer (own both the nüüd and frē for the Galaxy S3) I was thrilled to learn of this case for the S5 (the main reason I upgraded, in fact). However, I am more than disappointed. I start off with the positives: the look and design are wonderful. I love the clear look of the case along with the grey colored trimming for my phone. However, that's about the only positive there is. Now, for, the negatives (and there are many which pains me to write this as my expectations were much higher). First problem I encountered immediately was it was virtually impossible to open the USB charger door on the phone with the case on. Even if this was minor, I could suffice, but having to remove the case each time to charge is just too difficult and inconvenient. Second problem is the dongle provided for the headphones just does not screw in to the opening and stay put - it would only be a matter of time before it became lost and then would not be able to access the headphone port without replacing. Third, the person to who you are speaking cannot hear what is being said. The sound is muffled and distorted to the person making it impossible to talk on the phone. Fourth, the annoying echoing on the phone calls. I am so disappointed with Lifeproof. There are just basics here which failed all around. This product should not have made it out of the design phase. While the case certainly will protect the device from wind, rain, water, snow, ice, dust and unexpected falls - if you plan to use this to communicate to another human by phone - this case makes it impossible. Not to mention the issue with the charging port. I have to give this product a failing grade. Disappointed to say the least.

he got it as an alternative to a bulky otterbox but went right back to the otterbox and we werent allowed to return it so a waste of $80 he couldnt hear people while it was on the phone

I bought this as a gift for a teenage & he loves it, looks good & protects his new phone very well

This case is really cool, aside from the fact that it offers excellent protection for your phone, it works really well. My only complaint is that there is a slight echo when making phone calls, but by simply opening the charger flap for the case it's a simple fix.

My husband bought this for me this past christmas and this was the 2nd one I went through. The 1st one was cracked when I opened, the 2nd one the headphone port cover came off and got lost, and the 3rd one has been good other than the fact that when I make phone calls the sound is HORRIBLE. It does not meet the "MAXIMUM SOUND OUTPUT AND CLARITY" that Lifeproof says it does on their website. I always have to put my calls on speaker and my caller still can't hear me. Other than that, the case itself is definitely durable and would be 5 stars other than the most important piece of having a phone..THE SOUND. I would recommend once they fix the SOUND ISSUE.

I brought the Lifeproof case because I was sick of breaking my phone. I had just purchased another phone and I wanted to make sure it would be protected. I loved the design and the look of the case on my phone. What I didn't like was that when I made a phone call it sounded muffled. I couldn't hear with the case and those who called me felt the same. I am very disappointed in this purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought this case for my S5 and it worked great. The case looks great fits excellent, and has protected my phone since putting it on.

This case is great except it creates a very loud echo for the person who has called me. When I removed the case the echo was no longer there. I'm considering returning it but have only had it 2 days so I will see if maybe it will adjust with more use.

knowing how many times my previous phones had taken a dip in the pool made this phone case a perfect accessory. It was easy to assemble and feels good in your hand... not to bulky or slippery the only drawback is the fingerprint sensor is harder to use when the case is on... It still works, t just seems like it takes me a few more attempts to get it to recognize my fingerprint..

I love this case!! I was very skeptical BUT everyone can hear me, screen protector lays flat and is sensitive to the touch, music not muffled, fits perfect! The only issue is a small section has the "oil look" or newton rings (professional term i guess) but it doesn't really bother me. I have returned so many cases because of one issue or another but I will be keeping this one!!

Sound of callers voice is more difficult to hear than with standard cases. Has remained waterproof though.
