My phone managed to fit but the buttons wouldn't work so I had to return it. Can't comment on how the life proof benefits work since I didn't get to use it. Would have been great if it fit my phone. :( if you have the right size phone, I recommend it.

Of course, a slight degradation of sound can be expected when a speaker is covered in a case, but this impact should be minimal. Typically, the quickest and most effective way to alleviate any audio issues with your LifeProof case will be to remove your device, blow some air through the speaker membrane on the case, and then re-install your phone with the bottom going in first. Try and pay special attention to make sure the speakers on your phone are lining up correctly with the vents on the case. This will allow for a clear path of sound. I never wanted to risk my new phone and having one of these cases fail. Well, now that my phone is older I decided to try and it worked great! I have used it a few times at the beach, pool and even snorkeling!
