However the door for the charging port broke so I had to buy a new case. I have a qi charger at home and at work so I don't actually use the charging port very often either.

You have to unscrew the closure for earbuds, pry off the charging cover, and have fingers of steel get the case off. Good for drops... bad for everyday motions. I actually think some of the Otterbox cases are just as protective...Lifeproof is just less bulky.
