Had my first lifeproof for my s5. Loved it! This case is different. First off charging door is very cheaply made where the one for the s5 was nicely made. Secondly the back part of the case was a clear plastic which seems stronger then the black softer plastic. Otherwise the grey ring around the front was a nice touch. Still wouldn't have a phone without a lifeproof case!!!

So glad I bought this for my daughter. She dropped her phone in the lake, but with this case we were very lucky no water touched the phone. It was in the water about 45 seconds but life proof did a great job at making this case for persons hard on their phones.

This life proof case is the best. It's the only case that I purchase for cell phones because it will make sure your phones stays in mint condition for clumsy people like me

Great case and water tight but one issues I had was with the latch (plastic door that snaps to a plastic lip) broke off the lip that it lock to so it wouldn't close anymore. Only had the case for 3 weeks. Guess I pulled the phone out to much or charged it to often. Warranty covered the case so that made up for it. Only took two weeks to get a new one from otter/life proof. Paid S/H.

I was a 4 year Otterbox customer who finally converted to Lifeproof. Don't let the price tag scare you! This is the premier case for protection.

I can't understand how someone walks around calmly without this kind of protection for their device. Best case for active folks.

This case is very low profile and unlike some lifeproofs that I have had in the past it is easy to type on.

Upon purchasing a brand new Galaxy s7 I decided to go with the best (or so I thought) case, the Lifeproof FRE. My first purchase was at Walmart and within 3 weeks of normal use the charging port cover clasp that keeps the keeps the port closed broke off so now the little door just hangs loose. I then took it back to walmart and returned it with no issues. I decided that I most likely had a defective one and Best Buy was having a sale. Needless to say I purchased another and again within about a month of NORMAL USE (Charging maybe once per day) the same thing happened. The little plastic clasp broke. Not only did the case break practically making it prone to water damage at this point but MY ENTIRE REAR GLASS PANEL on the backside of my phone was shattered completely. In the two months I have had this phone I have never once dropped it so my only conclusion is that I placed it in my back pocket and sat on it (note that I am only 130 pounds wet). I took it back to Best Buy and of course I was outside their 15 day return window and the customer service representative told me to file a warranty claim online. I do have to give credit though to Lifeproof's warranty because I submitted a claim and paid five dollars and they are currently sending me a new one within two weeks. All-in-all the product is absolutely terrible for the price you pay but the company backs up their product. In the meantime I have purchased an otterbox Commuter (the same one I had on my galaxy s4 for three years) and never had a problem nor did my phone become damaged over the time period. Also as of right now I am calling around to get estimates to fix my shattered phone screen. We will see if the third time around works longer than a month. Wish me luck.

Looks like it will do good job but seems like because of the screen protection part, touch screen doesn't work as well.

Have had the case for 5 months. From day one I get the "grease spot" other reviewers have mentioned and have problems with the touch screen close to the edge of the phone. The screen on the case has to be pushed really hard for the touchscreen to work. For the last couple of months, dirt has been getting into the case so I have to take the case off and clean it every couple of days. I think this is being caused by the charging port door no longer staying closed. I know the case was water proof when I first purchased it since I performed the leak test in the instructions before I ever put the case on my phone, but it can't be water proof now since dirt can get in. When I take the case apart the blue rubber band comes off and it is difficult to get the band back in place and hold it there while I am putting the case back on the phone. Lastly, while the warranty will provide a new case, I had to pay a $5 S&H fee.

bought my 1st one through lifeproof did a water test it failed. seems the screen does not attach to the rest of the case well. with the slightest push on the screen protector it comes unglued from the frame. lifeproof sent me a replacement thinking it was a defective one. the second one i slightly pushed on the screen protector before i even put it in water and it came apart.sent both back and they refunded my money. decided to try one last time at BB did the push test again and it also came unglued. it just takes a very slight press especially at the top by the earpiece and it separates.i have bought many lifeproof cases for iPhones and never a problem with those. seems they need to recall and go back to the drawing board on the samsung case.i would love to have one that actually works. if you ever correct the problem let me know.

I have called you on a couple occasions regarding this matter and nothing was resolved out of it and unfortunately I cannot use a product that fails every time on this phone. Sorry to say this but I did find something on Amazon very similar design by a company named Merit and it has a better design on the screen protector much better so far I've tried it and it does not leak and it is one third of the price. If you could get me one in proper working condition that will not leak I would give this product a better review and considering returning back but until then I have to stick with what works

The case hasn't broken but the flap to the charging connection has now snapped on two different boxes. Per their warranty, they replaced the first broken box (for $5 s/h). Now the second one has broken (second in about 6 months) and I don't really feel like paying another $5 to get another replacement, after paying something ridiculous for the original. Not worth the price.

In order to waterproof the phone the little door that covers the charge port must be closed. I have closed the door fewer than a dozen times over 3 months. The door lock lip has broken off. The only way this will last for the one year warranty is if it is never used. Plaatic is too brittle. Poor engineering.

I decided to give this case a try after reading 4/5 stars. After 2 weeks on the galaxy s7, I noticed the clips that hold the case together close to the headphone jack wouldn't stay together and dirt/debris would get under the screen. I called best buy to explain the situation and the first reply was "is it the lifeproof?" This put a red flag up for me. With intentions of exchanging the case to try one again I traveled to the store and asked the employee if this was a common issue with this case, he seemed hesitant but answered "we get an average of 1 return for ever 5 sold with the same issue". While I'm sure lifeproof's warranty/return policy is great, for $60 I was expecting better quality/reliability. Just a big disappointment because I wasn't happy with the clunkiness of the Otterbox but (unlike lifeproof) it works as advertised.

Broke first month of use. Door that covers the charge port would not stay shut. Customer service wanted me to pay an additional $8 to ship me a new one after paying for an $80 case to break in the first 30 days. Will not buy another Lifeproof case again.
