I've had a LifeProof case on my iPhone 5 & 5S for a couple years and love it. I waited to get an iPhone 6 until LifeProof had a case for it. So It got the iPhone and a LifeProof case. I've worked for several hours and I can not get the mute switch to work. The switch on the phone is very small and almost impossible to get the switch on the case to reliably engage. Like the other review said I slide that side in first and made sure it was in the matching switch in the case, but after one or two operations it would no longer function. Aside from that it is typical LifeProof case. It does add additional bulk to the phone, especially the height - probably make the almost 1/2" taller and a bit wider.

this item is great. I got this for my mom because she kept breaking her phone. she loves it.

this is the worst case I have ever wasted my money on. It was great at first but after about a month the edges started coming undone. I was hesitant about the seal because it can only last but so long but the best buy associate ensured me that this was the best case on the market, including the tech at Verizon, so I felt safe... Should have listened to my gut because I was right. A month later at the beach my phone had vapor in the back of the case meaning water had gotten inside somehow. The volume button has also come off because I guess the makers don't expect you to be going from silent to ringer everyday..... Bottom line, don't waste your money and get the regular case. Unless you plan on filing a claim with the lifeproof company itself because this case will not last. My boyfriends case did the same thing and we bought them at the same time. Good luck!

I bought this case about a month ago.Wasn't happy initially over the fact that you can't directly plug your headphones into the phone anymore, you need the included attachment. but I got over that... The case worked fine for about two weeks- now I'm running into problems. People tell me that my voice isn't clear when I use the phone on calls and it is hard to hear. So I have to take the case off when I call people. Not good. The death blow came today when the attachment required to play music through headphones stopped working. Can't play music anymore with the case on. I took the case off and it is not being put back on again. Definitely would not buy again. The protection isn't worth the inability to use the phone for all the other things I want to. I am 20 years old in college and my dad loves it- but I definitely didn't.

Wanted the best for new iPhone but got junk. Both my son's case and my case got damaged right away. There's a crack on my case screen and the side of my son's case cracked. Best Buy said take it up with the manufacturer. Thanks for standing behind the stuff you sell Best Buy. This was expensive and not worth it

The case is light and slim and definitely protects the phone. Best part is the Best Buy Associate put it on for me.

My son did the water test before putting the case on his phone. It passed. He put the case on, took the phone swimming ONE TIME, and it was immediately soaked. I contacted LifeProof and they told me the waterproof test should be done periodically. Since he had only had his case for two weeks, I'm not sure how often they believe the test should be done. We purchased three LifeProof cases with this order and will never pay LifeProof another penny. Their only offer was to replace the case. That does us no good since his phone is dead and no longer working.

LifeProof really missed the mark with this. I previously had a IPhone4S with a LifeProof case drop it into the river kayaking and it did what it was suppose to. I upgraded to the IPhone6 and bought a LifeProof case once again because I thought it was a quality product. To start when switching from vibrate to ring well you can't without taking either messing with the thing for 5 minutes or taking the phone out of the case. I started just turning the volume all the way down. Then the bottom where the charger plugs in kept flipping open. I ended up taking the case off because I keep getting dirt between the IPhone screen and the protective screen on the case. I spoke with someone at Best Buy and he said that he had heard of these problems with the case. You would think LifeProof would recall the cases and try to make it right.

I've had two of these on a 6 and have had 2 cracked screens....if you want a case that will actually protect your phone get a LUNATIK the screen protector is gorilla glass not plastic

Mad the screen very grainy. Unless you want to do extreme things with your phone, I would not recommend this. It is overkill for everyday use. Get the Thule instead with a screen protector. Great protection while being casual.

I bought this case (but in red) and within a month saw many things I disliked. Your pictures are blurry, and lights seem to move? The charger protecter is hard to get off and the hole has cracked, and other pieces fell off and the case was now not waterproof. (I never dropped my phone) I used my warranty claim, and received a refurbished case, which had the same problems!!!! I'm NOT paying $5 to get ANOTHER refurbished case the will probably BREAK again... I also dislike the color red, it looked better in store.

After just a couple of months, the piece of rubber covering the ringer button ripped apart (so much for waterproof). Don't like the feel/glare of the built in screen cover.

Works well without bulk but screen sensitivity is reduced, charger port cover is difficult to open, and the screen protector sticks to screen which impairs viewing.

I had my phone in a life proof case for about three month and had already had problems with water damage from the case. Then, when my phone fell off a three foot tall counter, the screen completely shattered. Life proof doesn't cover damage to phones, only to their products. Essentially I paid $90 to protect my phone and ended up with a shattered phone and a new case that I don't trust in the slightest.

i record alot of videos (ADULTS ONLY) and the case takes away from video quality....... cant get good shots;)

This case is NOT life proof at all. They drag you in with the indestructible description. My iPhone six frame got bent in this case, I dropped it out of my truck. Nothing crazy. The warranty and company that offers it is horrific when it comes to customer service. Go with an otter trust me.

I bought the case with my new iPhone 6 a year and a half ago. I was "sold" on how awesome this case was supposed to be - rugged and waterproof. I did the test without issue. I took it white water rafting and sealed it in a zip lock bag. The baggie failed and so did the case!!! So six months outside the warranty means no replacement case. BUT there is nothing to protect your phone! If the case fails in any way, you still are on the hook for a new phone. Sure, you get a new case but I'm not worried about the $80 case compared to my $600 phone. What point is a protective cover that is warrantied just for the case and not what it protects??? Seriously, don't waste your money. Find a cheaper case and just keep it out of harms way.

The case worked great for 6 months. Then I noticed water under the screen protector while I was using it in the kitchen. I took the case off and found that the fingerprint peice was no longer attached to the case. And now it is impossible to use the button to turn my phone on vibrate. When you spend this kind of money on case, it should last longer than 6 months. I shouldn't have to superglue it back together.
