From my iPhone 5s, 6 and 6Plus, they've all been protected from the water, and none of the cases have failed. I liked them so much, I recommended them to my mom, nieces and nephews. Now almost everyone is rocking Lifeproof in different colors! The installation, although straightforward, can be a little unsettling. The two halves of the cases snap together VERY FIRMLY to ensure a watertight seal, and the headphone port plug should be removed before snapping the two sides together. It almost seems that too much pressure is required to snap the case together, but such a tight seal is likely necessary to ensure the integrity of the waterproofing. My advice is to take your time and snap each point together one at a time. The Nuud case can make some nervous because the front glass is open to the elements, but I can attest that the seal is still watertight and all is good!
