Great case for protection, but unless you're mute or never use the phone for calls or need the speaker it's absolutely worthless.

Was looking for something more substantial. Much lighter than it's competitors Not what I was looking for.

This is my first Lifeproof case and will definitely not be my last. However like with everything, there is good and bad. I was VERY hesitant to spend this much on a phone case but could not be happier that I did that's for sure. I'll start with the good: 1) Protection from just about anything that could accidentally happen to your phone, including being dropped in liquid or liquid spilled on it. As long as the charging port door and headset ports are closed, every opening to your phone is sealed. My 3 year old nephew spilled a giant glass of chocolate milk all over my phone and there was no damage to the phone whatsoever. I have absolutely no doubt that without this case my phone would have been completely destroyed. It's an excellent investment for anyone who has children or a job where their phone takes a beating. 2) Does not make the buttons on your phone hard to operate like some cases. 3) For the protection level it provides, does not add much bulk to the phone. 4) You can use any screen protector you want so if you swap cases, your screen isn't unprotected. 5) I've had this case a month and have yet to have anyone tell me they can't hear me which seems to be a big problem with other waterproof cases. The Bad: 1) The price, however it's WAY cheaper than a new phone, paying to have a screen replaced or the deductible on most insurance plans. Even if you do have insurance, you're usually stuck paying a deductible, sending your broken phone somewhere and you're without a phone or using an old one for the time it takes your claim to be processed and your new phone to get to you. 2) You may have a problem getting some chargers and headsets that you plug in into the ports far enough to use them. The ones that Samsung gives you with the phone do work fine. 3) The door for the charging port that you have to open daily to charge your phone can be a pain and I am worried about it breaking eventually. I did hold onto my receipt and packaging and I have shopped at Best Buy for years and know they are very good about returns and exchanges. This case is a great way to protect your investment and I think the good far outweighs the bad. I highly recommend it.

The phone can not be used with out the headphones, no one can hear you on speaker and the volume is gone. for the price i could just have wrapped my phone in foam and cover with a zip lock bag. I regret the amount spent.

Do NOT Buy.... Case leaked and yes it was on all the way and the right way. Life proof does NOT cover the phone only the case..

It says you can go up to 3 feet in water how about less than a foot for about 10 seconds...yes that's right and it damaged my.phone..

I am disappointed in the quality of this product. It is easily broken where you put in your plugs.

As with many others, I have waited for a Galaxy S4 LifeProof case since the original ones came out. Once they did, I opted for the nuud one just for the access to the actual screen, and I wasn't disappointed in that department. Although the phone did stand any stress tests I had time to bestow upon it (full submersion in water several times, plus I work in food service as a manager, so it's had countless other dirty encounters that have held up perfectly) although the first day was very annoying, as the second I got home and opened my case, found that the charging port was defective and would not close, so I went back to exchange it. Within the next 3 days, I had to return 2 more times for additional cases for cracking and even one where the charging port door FELL OFF. I am now on my 4th case from Best Buy (I can only imagine how much money they must be losing from forfeiting all these 90 dollar cases...) and has passed the 14 day return and exchange policy, but has cracked yet again, with none of the stress put on it that was previously mentioned. The only option I have and will do at this point is to write to the LifeProof company for yet another case that I plan on using for emergencies or situations where I know my phone will be under stress. In conclusion, this case is a great choice for lots of stress if you need to protect your phone from, although certainly not worth rolling the dice each time you open the package for a quality checked case or not.

I had a Lifeprood for my iPhone 4s and loved it. So, naturally when I decided to make the switch and go with the Galaxy S4 I wanted to get a Lifeproof again. I had a hard time locating one, but once I did I immediately purchased it. The phone fit well into the case. It was easy to install. Overall, the case is not too bulky and fit nicely into my pockets. The nuud comes with a screen protector also. I did not use it however. Now for the bad stuff. My first phone call to my wife was sign of things to come. She immediately complained that she could not hear me clearly. I opened the charging port cover and she said it was a little better. This step should not be needed in order to have a conversation. After this, everyone I talked to complained to me that they could not hear me as well. I mean everyone. It was really frustrating. In addition, I could not hear them very well. If your volume is all the way up, the person's voice becomes distorted. You have to turn it down a little to get rid of the distortion. Also, you have to move the phone around to get the ear speaker just right in order to hear the person. I was constantly apologizing and asking them to repeat themselves. I let this go on for about two weeks when I finally had enough. I decided to back to the Otterbox Commuter. Since then, no problems on call quality whatsoever. Hopefully, Lifeproof can makes some improvements, until then I would not recommend this product.
