When the case is on the phone, however, call quality is reduced both for audio and for voice. It's hard for me to hear the person, as well as the person to hear me.

The back plastic scratches pretty easily though. When I have the case on people tell me that they have trouble hearing me during phone calls & the ringtone volume and speaker volume are affected also. I now only use the case when I am going somewhere around water or somewhere that my phone is at high risk of being damaged.
