We are sorry that this Nuud case is making it difficult to hear. You shouldn’t have to open up the charge port door to use the phone function.
Of course, a slight degradation of sound can be expected when a speaker is covered in a case, but this impact should be minimal. Typically, the quickest and most effective way to alleviate any audio issues with your LifeProof case will be to remove your device, blow some air through the speaker and microphone membranes on the case, and then re-install your phone with the bottom going in first.
