We have ~60 Philips Hue lights in our household but we purchased this LIFX + bulb because of the IR emitters. We adopted a puppy a few months ago and have a camera set up as a "baby monitor" to make sure she's keeping out of trouble and not destroying anything. The IR built into the camera wasn't enough to cover the entire room, but adding this bulb make everything look like daylight. My biggest complaint with this light is that it turns on with even the slightest of power flickers. The light is in our bedroom, so it's very annoying when it happens in the middle of the night. The Hue lights have an option that keeps them at their previous state after a power interruption (so they stay off if they were off before) and that feature alone has really made them viable as a replacement throughout the house. Until a similar option is available for LIFX I would consider these lights only for specialty situations.

These are fun to use, we use them with nest cameras for night vision. It is nice to look and make sure everyone turned everything off before they left the house. I can look on iPhone and see if they are on if the lights are left on -you simply shut them off in the app. Even when your not there

If you want a bright color changing light with infrared tech built in, This does that. But the light only changes to one color at a time, so don’t expect a spectrum of colors going threw the motions.

The wifi set up wasn't very straight forward and it took multiple attempts to get it to connect properly but once it did, it does exactly what it says. The app that comes with this bulb helps you change the color with your smartphone.

They are good light but the setup is complicated . Honestly for the price is not worth it . I could have bought another brand for less then half the price . They are made in China .

Love these bulbs and the color options. Only complaint on setup is they really just give an Alexa or Apple Homekit option which requires you to scan a QR code in the instruction manual (don't lose the manual!). Which is weird because I use them via Google Assistant and they work great. Just wish they had an easier setup process through the LiFX app directly or Google Home. I don't want to have to hunt around for an instruction manual if I ever have to reinstall them or move the bulbs.

Lifx will easily lift your place bright with the control of your voice or hands. Lifx app is very user friendly and can be linked to alexa or Google assistanr.

Listen, yes they're price is a little high but when you buy 1, you shall buy more...look for sales! Plus, it needs no extra hardware just a cellie & u will be able to set the mood for any room!

These LIFX bulbs provide rich colors that are brighter than the Philips Hue. Additionally, when the lights are off they emit an infrared light so that if you have a security camera you can now see more in the dark.

So, these bulbs have the infrared (which is invisible) which can be used to help light up security cameras around the house. I have these running wherever I have my cameras. Since they don't emit red or notable light (out of our visual spectrum) people that might try to rob you would have no idea they're on. Works great with my security system. In other notes, they stay connected to Wi-Fi quite nicely and work with my assistant. Have timers for infrared so they're not on during the day when they don't help out (has to be configured). and the app is well designed.

Great user app experience and easy Echo linkage. App includes dim control, different themes, easy customization, and brighter than it's little brother.

I have been looking these changeable colorful lights for my dining room. They are beautiful lights color but I think it’s too pricey.I need at lease sixes but I just got two.

At first I had a little difficulty in setting up, but then I figure things out and I love this light a lot. I have since purchased more lights. They were well with my Wi-Fi system and I control everything from my iPad. It was nice to it was nice to have bought them around Christmas because now I can make my lights green, red, or any color I want. They get high ratings compared to the Phillips and other Wi-Fi colored lights.

These are some cool looking and performing bulbs. I have them setup on my front and side porch and for the most part they perform as advertised. Although every so often they become disconnected from the wifi signal and misses the scheduled on & off times - happens maybe twice a month but they do reconnect on there own. For those who buy these for the security camera IR feature - It also works as advertised and really extends the view-able distance and clarity of my cameras at night.

One of the brighter lights I've bought. If you have night vision cameras near it the infared is an added bonus.

Overheats and goes off line, requires power off then re power to operate. Unreliable. Nice color and love the 1100 lumens.

This bulb does everything, It's plenty bright, has deep colors, works to illuminate a night vision sensitive camera that does not have it's own illumination. There is no visible light emitted by the 940nm IR illuminator. it works with the LIFX app and integrates well with Alexa and SmartThings. It's very well built. Highly recommended.

This was a perfect addition to go right near my camera. Very bright and the infrared works very well.

Its been great and bright. Just one time lost connection and cant figure out whats causing - tech support suggested restarting router and all worked out great

The lights are excellently bright and easy to control.
