As if it were pulled down from the halls of Congress and as deeply colorful and dimensional as a visit to Statuary Hall, itself, Spielberg's latest genius is as timeless as the Emancipation Proclamation, the Gettysburg Address and the 13th, 14th and 15th ammendments together or individually. Throughout the cast, the acting is as succinct and strikingly eloquent as any of Lincoln's famous speeches, and Day Lewis leaves the Lincoln Memorial to pale in comparison to his own portrayal of, quite possibly, the finest personifcation of representative democracy the world will ever know.

Great film from a legendary filmaker! Another great drama from one of the all time best directors out there, Speilberg. He does a great job telling the story behind one of the most important things to happen in the history of this country. Despite the fact that the film is mostly just talk, its interesting talk that keeps you riveted. Daniel Day Lewis is at his best as Lincoln, a towering but restrained performance. The rest of the solid cast does great as well. PQ and AQ are great. Sharp, highly detailed picture! Go out and buy this!

I really enjoyed seeing Lincoln. In a way it lets you see him as he was during a terrible time in our history. The cast was perfect and i believe that Daniel Day Lewis is one of the greatest actors of our times, not forgetting Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones,Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and we cant leave out Steven Spielberg , one of our greatest directors. I compleatly enjoyed it and added it to my history collection of Abraham Lincoln.

Steven Spielberg and Daniel Day Lewis bring Spielberg Abraham Lincoln back to life in this stirring account of the 16th President's struggle pass an amendment before Congress that would end slavery. Lincoln struggles with his relationship with his wife, his son, and the Civil War while trying to push through one of them most important Amendments to our Constitution and his unwavering belief in it.

The movie is great storytelling, with awesome cinematography, great sets and costumes, and amazing performances by the actors. The director does take some license with the timelines of the votes, and with who exactly voted one way or another, but they are small, and easily forgiven with the overall quality of the film.

I typically buy action movies, I bought this on a whim as co-workers said it was worth the buy. They were absolutely correct! I will say that you need to set aside time to actually watch and pay attention to the movie, not a movie that I will watch over and over, but defiantly worth the time to see it.

This movie has great acting by Daniel Day Lewis, Sally Field, and Tommy Lee Jones. This movie also has great direction by Mr. Spielberg. The story is okay but it does drag sometimes. Their are some awkward scenes and comedy involved. This movie would be great to watch with the whole family. This movie represents an important part of our country's history that everyone should know. The Blu-ray has great picture and 7.1 sound.

My absolute favorite film of 2012. The performances across the board are fantastic, lead by DDL, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones. Certainly ranks as one of Spielberg's greatest film achievements.

great movie, but I long for the days of DVD when special feature packed editions were the norm and not the bare bones versions we see today. The fact that we don't even get any kind of special packaging or limited and numbered edition is outrageous for the prices charged. if you're just looking for the film skip this version and if you want all the special features wait for it to go on sale

The acting, sets, and costumes are phenomenal in this film. However, the story is just a notch below the performances. I still recommend the film though.

This is no doubt the best portrayal of Abraham Lincoln put the film. It's no wonder Daniel Day-Lewis's performance and the entire movie itself received critical acclaim.

I saw this in the theater and could not wait for the DVD to be released. The acting was supurb. Danial Day Lewis deserved to Oscar. It should have received the best picture award.

One of the best movies I've seen in a while regarding the Civil War. Daniel Day Lewis did an excellent job portraying the agony Lincoln went through making his decisions.

Awesome on almost everything, except history tells a different story about Lincoln and fowl language, he despised cussing in the worst way, and would not allow it.

Amazing movie in every way! One man on a mission in the midst of a tremendous crisis! Excellent acting and directing. We can all learn something from this movie!

Daniel Day Lewis was great in this period piece about President Lincoln. It was a very interesting time in history.

I expected the usual Lincoln story of his assasination. Far from it. I was pleasantly surprised by the story and humbled by the acting. Amazing movie. Loved it.

Daniel Day Lewis does a great job of portraying Lincoln and really gives us an idea of the struggles that Lincoln had during his shortened presidency.

Daniel Day-Lewis loses himself in the role of America's 16th president. He makes you believe that you are truly watching Abraham Lincoln on screen.

I am a big fan of history and historical items. This is a great movie and Daniel Day Lewis is fantastic as Lincoln. I highly recommend this movie.
