A five-year-old Indian boy gets lost on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of kilometers from home. He survives many challenges before being adopted by a couple in Australia. 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family.

This is an excellent story of survival of a child in the utmost extreme circumstances, and how he survived. Showed us another side of Indian society & how too many abandoned and lost children are mistreated. The acting was superb. as was the filming.

A great story brought to live onscreen by a cast of great actors. It definitely focuses on humanity and the need to find home in an ever changing world. I liked the fact the movie was based on a the true life tale of Saroo Brierley.

This is a good movie to have in the ever growing movie collection ... An enjoyable movie to own to see when you need a good movie fix!! Here's to continuing growing movie collections and finding larger movie shelves! Keep on watching!

One of those true stories that I enjoy learning about. After all, we are all human and nothing about the young man's experience was foreign to me. It does try too hard to pull at your emotional heart strings. Most of these films do. But Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel give this film an honesty to it.

Good heartwarming drama with a lot of meaning, regrets and heart searching. This is a good purposeful movie that clearly ask how far one is willing to go to find a long lost person. Good acting and good movie plot. These movie is well worth watching and worth the purchase price.

i love this movie, its beautiful and heartwarming maybe a lil heartbreaking but its great it makes you think it makes you feel and i definitely recommend you watch it at least once

This movie was completely under my radar but I was pleasantly surprised. Great performances, interesting story, and incredibly moving. Highly recommend. FYI: It will give you the feels.

When I purchased this movie I did not expect it to be great. Was a try and buy and see. This movie was awesome and made me cry at the end. The ending credits as well.

Lion is such a beautiful film of family, separation,survival,love & ultimately a heartbreaking reunion.The scenery shot in India is breathtaking.A must see feel good movie.

I was entranced thoughout the whole movie! It started off very exciting and ended very sad but somewhat happy. Th actors were all great and the plot was wonderful.

I thought this was a good movie, easy to relate to what the characters were going through. I expecred a lot after reading tge previews, and I was not disappointed.

Lion is a touching movie with great actors. Although it takes place on the other side of the world, it relates to adoption stories worldwide.

I purchased the movie for a friend who has a East Indian name. I thought she would really like it with her close association with the country of India.

The story is amazing & the acting is brilliant. Very interesting true story. Enjoyed every minute & could see why it was nominated for an Oscar.

I would recommend this movie to anyone. It was an incredible story both sad and triumphant. I don't usually like dramas but it was well done.
