In my opinion this is the best Disney movie of all time. It looks and sounds great on blu-ray. It has a bunch of great special features and the price for a blu-ray and DVD is good. I first saw this movie at 19 on a date and liked it so much I bought it on VHS. I know for the younger generation you are like you bought it on what? But anyway I finally had the chance to upgrade my DVD to a blu-ray. I like the storyline and the music in this movie. I know have 3 daughters that I am able to share this timeless classic with. My 9 and 2 year old watch this at least once a week. They sing along to the movie and watch it so much I am glad that we can finally share a great family film together on blu-ray. Pick up your copy today it is good for kids and adults alike.

The 2cd DVD release to the great 1994 film. "What Do You Want Me To Do? Dress In Drag & Do the Hula?" My favorite line from the film. Scenes you want to play over and over. The music/songs. Memorable characters. A fantastic film. Disney should be ashamed of themselves. I have been complaining about this since they started it in fall 2009. This stupid put the blu ray out earlier than the DVD. October 2011 for the blu ray and we had to wait until 11-15-11 for the DVD. I HOPE DISNEY HAS LOST A LOT OF MONEY FOR THESE ERRORS!! One extra on this. The great film, HORRIBLE DVD If you do NOT have it already find & buy the 1st DVD release from 2004 MUCH BETTER, MUCH BETTER Recommend for the film ONLY NOT the extras

"The Lion King" is a watershed film in the history of animation. Not only is it considered one of Disney's best, but it went on to become a hugely successful, Tony-winning Broadway musical. The film itself is excellent, but owning it in this Best Buy exclusive steelbook makes the purchase that much more satisfying. If you're a DVD/Blu-ray collector, this is a must-own.

Since I recently got my blu ray player there are only certain titles I will purchase on blu ray-meaning I can live with DVD Lion King was one title I knew I would get Of course-4 disc set BESIDES HAVING A BLU RAY PLAYER YOU HAVE TO HAVE A SPECIAL ONE & SPECIAL CONNECTION TO SEE THE 3D Nope-don’t think so THEN GO BUY GLASSES Nope Good picture quality on the film of course Extras-now here is where I have a complaint there are several good extras in this package Some were already in the original DVD release OK, they gathered the animators to speak with them Good to see BUT, out of the actors we only get to see Broderick & Lane? Excuse me. Where was James Earl Jones, Oscar winners Whoopi Goldberg & Jeremy Irons? Didn’t speak to Elton John? Only 2 of the actors appeared in this package I was very disappointed with this. A let down to fans Over all except for this 1 problem I was pleased with the package And, of course anytime I can rewatch my favorite scene/line "What Do You Want Me To Do? Dress In Drag & Do The Hula?"

I have always loved the film. Beautiful film, the animation is just terrific. Good to see 2 different versions of the film. Love the characters. Timon & Scar my favorites. Film well deserved the Oscar. I will play “What do you want me to do? Dress in drag & do the hula?” scene over & over. Great extras-a well done DVD package. My 1 point on that though-what is the deal with the unnecessary, done for the DVD package by nobody’s

You cannot go wrong with The Lion king, from the amazing scores and original songs by Elton John, to just the story in itself. I used to have the VHS version in the 90s but I have yet to find it; I thought I would never see this movie again except on TV. One of the greatest animated pictures of all time!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the best Disney movies ever made, in my opinion. Fun characters, great music, and beautiful imagery. If somehow you've never seen it, don't hesitate to add it to your collection, you'll be glad you did!

Lion King has always been one of my favorite Disney Movies and having it on Blu-Ray only adds to the enjoyment! I have one grandchild and one on the way so it is a great addition to my video library for their entertainment when they visit. The music and the storyline are beautiful!

This movie is a classic from my childhood. It has a great voice acting cast along with wonderful action scenes. There is some implicated violence and some slap stick. So be aware of that if you are wanting to avoid those aspects for your children. Overall, I would say any age would enjoy this film, but you can use your own judgement.

I remember when I watched this movie for the first time. I was in the 3rd grade and it was the first movie to make me cry. Such a touching story. Love the soundtrack as well. Emphasizes the value of family, responsibility, and the circle of life!

Glad I bought it, was not to happy about the price. I have a driod 2 and they sync'ed themselves with eachother. I can teather it when I'm on the road via Bluetooth so no wires and this works great being I'm in the military and travel alot. So much easier to use then the big laptop. Overall I do not regret my purchase.

This movie is great for all ages. I bought this thinking when I have kids that they need to watch this movie and all the other lion king movies. I love how the picture and the sound quality are amazing. If you have kids that want a good kids movie, then this is the one you should get at an amazing price.

One of Disney's all time greatest animated features returns in spectacular high definition in Disney's The Lion King. One of the first films I've ever seen in theaters, this loose adaptation of Hamlet is still one miracle of a film, with fantastic animation, wonderful voice work and magical songs.

This is the movie that we all grew up watching, literally. Its not the version that contains the "morning report". I wish I knew that before I bought this version, but its still great regardless. I still watch it regularly, and with my dad most of the time because he loves it more than I did as a kid lol.

I was really surprised to see the Lion King as one of the early releases for the Walt Disney Signature Collection. I am happy with the price when I purchased it here at Best Buy and glad to have it as a part of my Disney animated BD movie collection!

I am amazed at how crisp the lines are in Disney's remastered Blu-ray movies. Once again they impress. Granted, the high definition shows flaws I didn't notice before, but the picture and sound are top-notch

I've loved The Lion King since I was a kid, and seeing it now, in Blu-ray, just makes it even better than I remember! I'm so happy I pre-ordered it after I watched it again in theaters.

When this movie hit theatres back in 1994 I was about 7-8 years old I honestly really thought Disney put a lot into this movie seeing how African life is now at the WDW Animal Kingdom park.

It was great when I was growing up and it is great now... the 3D movie is awesome, it seems as if the movie was made for 3D. If you liked it then, I suggest buying the 3D
