While not on the quality level of Beauty and the Beast, it's one of the best if not the best (save Beauty) of the modern Disney movies. Good story, great voices and great characters along with fantastic music and songs to remember this film delivers on every level. It's movies like this that remind me how much better non computer generated animated movies can be (sorry Pixar I miss the old days when done right). Kids love it sure, but adults do too even without the adult themes most new animated movies have to keep the grown-ups interested. It proves what good writing can do.

I'm happy with the purchase, but I feel like the artwork on the steel book could have been a lot better. The picture quality is fantastic though.

bought this movie for my six year old grandson to watch b4 seeing the live action remake. He needed to see the classic original first.

I was so excited when Disney announced the re-release of The Lion King on 4k. This is my all time favorite animated movie and to see it in all of it's 4k glory is an experience of a lifetime. An extra treat is getting it in this beautiful steelbook. The art work for the interior is a beautiful scene from the movie showing the different animals, and the cover art showing Simba and Scar. The disc art also compliments the interior artwork. Perfect for your collection.

There's only so much the 4K/UHD format can do for an animated film like this, but it's still the best the movie has ever looked and sounded.

The wife had to have this..but our one year old daughter will enjoy this when she can watch it and understand it and sing along.

This 4K version of the Lion King is a must have for anyone collection! I would consider the Lion King as one of Jeffrey Katzenberg's BIG FOUR hits of the 90's, along with The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, & Aladdin. With the music composed by none other than the legendary Han Zimmer, the Lion King was a box-office juggernaut. Now that's available again in a 4K version and as an added bonus, it comes in BestBuy's exclusive Steelbook, it's easy to see why this is a must-have!

It's The Lion King, which is a classic Disney animated film that you've likely already seen. If you haven't, then please do. This combo pack is a really great deal- DVD, Blu-Ray, and a digital copy. Redeeming it was painless, and the discs work. It also came with a little film strip that was pretty neat if you're into that sort of thing. Best Buy also has a steelbook edition that I know some people are into, but it does cost a bit extra. If you just want the movie, and its digital copy, this version is sufficient.

The 4K disc only contains the movie while the blu ray contains the movie and special features from the previous editions.

I remember all the great times my wife and I had watching this movie with our own kids. Our daughter singing, "Pink pajamas, penguins on the bottom." and our son standing of the arm of the sofa "presenting" his stuffed bear as if it were Symba. Both of my kids, even now having kids of their own, tell me when ever they hear the voice of James Earl Jones, they think of watching "Lion King" and "Star Wars" as a family. I know this movie will provide even more great memories with the grandkids.

Love it. Never gets old brought back so many memories of when I first saw it with my oldest 21 years ago.

This movie look really nice on a 4K HDR/ Dolby vision tv, in fact the colors pop more on DV. Nice sound mix.

A young lion cub named Simba just can't wait to be king. But the sudden death of his father, Mufasa, and the treacherous actions of his Uncle Scar lead Simba into exile and ultimately on a hero's journey of self-discovery. Adopting the "hakuna matata" philosophy of his comical jungle guardians — a warthog and a meerkat (Pumbaa and Timon) — Simba eventually comes to terms with his destiny and returns home to Pride Rock to help put things right.

Possibly the greatest, hand-drawn, animated movie of the 90s. Sure the story's somewhat predictable, but that doesn't stop it from being entertaining every time I see it...even close to 20 years after it came out. The soundtrack is strong enough to be turned into a very successful broadway musical and I just hope that it never gets to the point where a generation of children doesn't get to watch it and enjoy it's greatness. Worth having in any movie collection even if you don't think you'll ever watch a children's movie again.

This is the same movie as the original except it has been remastered to have better pixelation and color.

I bought this for 4K much better quality. If your looking to add to your 4K collection I would recommend

Not one of my favorite movies but the steelbook sold it to me. It's a gorgeous piece to my collection.

Pretty excited to see one of my childhood favorites released in 4k on a gorgeous steelbook. This is by far one of the best Disney hand-drawn animation releases of the last several decades. I loved it my kids loved it and millions of other people around the world love it and you will too oh, so if you haven't seen it now has a great chance to pick up a collector's edition to add to your home Library. Highly recommended.

Classic movie, starting collect the Disney’s from my childhood for my son and was brought right back

I bought this for my daughter and she couldn’t stop watching it. The picture was clear and not grainy.
