Love Disney ! Brought back memories of the first time we watched it

This is a good 4k scan. Image is sharp and colors look very nice.

Bought this for my great granddaughter's 2nd birthday to go with the lion stuff animal i had made for her. Thought the animated version would be best since she is only two. It was definitely a good choice as she very much enjoyed it.

You can't beat The Lion King, and you definitely can't beat The Lion King on Blu-ray. The story, the music, the scenery are already phenomenal. Put it all on HD and it's a can't miss. My only complaint would be the extras. The first extra I watched was the "bloopers", and it was incredibly lame, so I didn't even bother watching the others. But I didn't buy the movie for the extras, so it's not a big deal for me.

Probably didn’t need a 4K version but the steel book is nice.

This is a Disney classic, now in 4K and HDR! The HDR effects make the color of the picture really rich. This is the version to own if you prefer the cartoon version and have a HDR capable setup. Notice that many TVs are HDR compatible but not everyone of them is capable of outputting good HDR image.

Whenever possible, I buy the Blu-RayDVD versions of kid appropriate videos. I keep one disc at my permanent home and one disc at my winter home. I had the VHS version and was waiting for the movie to be released on DVD or Blu-Ray (I got both). I have seen the Broadway version several times and always find the story and songs to be entertaining.

Great Movie, Great Story, Great Morals! What else can be said? Only, it may be too scary for young children. I have seen this movie many times. Bought it so I could also have it on Digital (Movies Anywhere)

We’ve always loved The Lion King as a family. And this 4K version is the best it’s ever been. I highly recommend buying the Physical 4K Disc as it’s superior in picture and sound quality than the Digital version. Great transfer to 4K.

This movie brings back a lot of memories of when I was a kid. It still stands in my opinion as the best animated movie of the 90s. A great thing about this product is that it also comes with a digital download, so you never really have to load your blu ray disc if you have an app on your phone that streams these movies. Really convenient.

I missed the purely comedic elements that weren't incorporated in the live-action version, as good as that one is. Seeing the hyenas' reaction to Simba's second "roar" and ensuing beat-down by Mufasa is one of the earmarks that make this an animation classic!

Graphics didn’t seem much different than 1080p version

The Lion King has its fans and detractors. I fall more to the fan side, but will admit that the Lion King was never on my list of beloved Disney films. The folks at Disney have included plenty of special features, typical of most Diamond/Signature editions of their films. The Steelbook® packaging is a favorite of mine, but the design of this package left me very disappointed. While the anniversary collection from a few years ago is a much better package design, it is hard to put the 'drum' easily on a shelf. I can't imagine a reason why any parent would have issue with this film, and as a beloved classic it will be around for a long time. So if you already own it, I would say give this edition a pass. Unless you want it for the collectable packaging, or the DMA code to add it to you digital library.

This is a great classic movie for everyone to enjoy.

I already had this on bluray but since Best Buy restocked the steelbook I HAD to grab it! The transfer looks about the same. There are only a couple of scenes where I can tell the difference between the bluray and the 4k version. I'm a collector so I had to grab the steelbook.

This is my favorite Disney movie I'm seen it a 100 times
