    A Fine Upgrade

The better and arguably strongest improvement in this 4K HDR10 presentation is a more vibrant color palette, supplying a sumptuous array of primaries, particularly more energetic blues and deep, animated reds. Likewise, secondary hues are more full-bodied with a spirited selection of earth tones and tans while the warmer yellows and deep, fiery oranges make for an eye-catching spectacle. Facial complexions appear more natural and accurate with a realistic peachy-rose tone in the entire cast and revealing, lifelike textures, making for a fantastic upgrade over its HD SDR counterpart.

Despite the resolution being upscaled to 4K, it still shows noticeable improvement from the standard blu-ray counterpart by its HDR10 enhancement. Black levels and contrasts are certain improved. Dolby Atmos is newly included with the 4K UHD disc, which the previous blu-ray release does not have. Special features are only included on the standard blu-ray disc: -Operation Downfall - Adrenaline Cut (2:34) -Storming the Beach (8:59) -Weapons of the Future (8:25) -Creatures Not of This World (5:38) -On the Edge with Doug Liman (42:37) -Deleted Scenes (7 clips, 7:38 total)

Lots of action, I thought the writing of the connection between Cruse and Blunt should have been stronger during the movie.

Have you ever relived the someday over and over? An alien attack on Earth is the center piece in Edge of Tomorrow. Tom Cruise (along with Emily Blunt) relive the same day when an blue blooded alien gets his blood mixed with the blood with Cruise. When Tom Cruise dies, he starts each day over from the same point. The plot twists and a fresh storyline, make this film a worthwhile watch. The amazing looking 4k, is definitely worth the extra money as well!

It's been quite a while since I saw this, and revisiting the movie, it was quite a bit better than I remembered. The video is excellent, as is the audio, a very nice example of the 4K format. It was quite amusing to see Tom Cruise is a role where his character is a bit wimpy (i.e. the beginning, no spoiler if you've never seen the film, but his arc is believable, and the premise of the movie works much better than I remembered).

Sometimes it's not easy to separate Tom Cruise the actor and the heroic characters he plays so well from Tom Cruise the creepy, vocal supporter of Scientology who at times displays bizarre real-life behavior. But this beautiful Sci-Fi movie starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt looks and sounds stunning in the 4K format! Perhaps one of Cruises's best films in a long list of excellent movies. Emily Blunt is force to be reckoned with and the entire movie is fantastic from start to finish. The story is palpitating and the ending is well-crafted and satisfying.

The Earth has been invaded by aliens and we're losing the war with them big-time. Cruise, exposed to alien substance, starts jumping back in time to the same moment over and over every time he dies in the same battle. Then he discovers a major war hero played by Emily Blunt who has experienced the same thing and asks for her help to at last make it through the battle in one piece and to also figure out how to finally defeat the enemy. Like an action-packed sci-fi/war movie version of Groundhog Day.

A movie that I have grown to appreciate more and more with repeat viewing. The premise is so interesting, it draws you in. A great looking 4k transfer and a terrific audio to boot. If you've watched this movie before it's known for that bone jarring bass response in the first seconds of this movie. There was reports, that particular bass effect was curtailed somewhat. After having listened to it several times I have to say it's pretty much there at least for the most part. It still shook the walls.. You won't be disappointed.

This movie was awesome! I saw it in theater, and the 4K movie doesn’t lose a step. The picture quality of this movie does not disappoint! Not all 4K remasters are worth buying, but that logic doesn’t apply here. This movie looks excellent, especially the invasion scene on the beach. Brights look brighter and darks look more realistic and authentic. Great movie!
