    Amazing one!

Gripping, well-acted, funny, and clever, Edge of Tomorrow offers entertaining proof that Tom Cruise is still more than capable of shouldering the weight of a blockbuster action thriller. Two main characters who played perfectly, a fascinating story well told and really fast and good looking action made it for me the best movie i watched in a while (and i watch pretty much movies). The story is well told and there are no boring repeatings. Even my girlfriend who normally don't like movies with much action liked it a lot and added Emily Blunt to one of her favorite actresses of all time.

    Groundhog Day goes Sci-Fi

This movie is quite unique. I got this movie expecting an action-packed ride and got more than what I expected. Although I feel it could have carried a little more action sequences, it offered in sustenance what it lacked in substance. Engaging plot with an engaging storyline, one that ultimately challenges your attention to detail. Although I'm not much of a fan of Cruise I have to admit, he played the part well. The movie kept me engaged and thinking. Didn't give it five stars as they could have chosen a better supporting cast and made a run at a longer cut. But overall it was a surprising movie that engages your thinking and reasoning with the main character and his dilemma.

    Way Undersee

Doug Liman delivers a movie that went completely underseen in America (didn't even make its budget back domestically). Tom Cruise stars in another scifi film where after killing one of the invading creatures, his character relives the day. It's not until h encounters Emily Blunt's character where he figures out what's going on with his newfound ability. While this may seem like another Tom Cruise scifi flick (like the flop Oblivion), Edge of Tomorrow is the summer blockbuster that you missed, but will keep you on the edge of your seat.

A movie so good that it's known by its tagline (|Live. Die. Repeat.") instead of its actual title ("Edge of Tomorrow"). We love this movie and watch it at least once a year. Intellectually stimulating. Packed with action. And hilarious. Tom Cruise is absolutely killing it in this role. Obviously, it has a "Groundhog Day" theme undergirding it, but it is entirely independent and creative, refreshing and just fun.

This is like groundhog day, except it is about soldiers in robot suits fighting immensely powerful aliens! Somehow the main character gains the ability to start the day over again. The same day repeats when he dies. Well, he keeps learning how to fight, knows whats gonna happen, and gets more and more clues on how to defeat the enemy. This also has some really good comedy in it besides the all the action. This movie is great and tom cruise and emily blunt sizzle on the screen together. Never gets old. Great extra features also.

The Greatest SciFi you haven't seen

I grant that there have been very few SciFi movies lately that really satisfy the most demanding enthusiast. Because of that I usually skip movies that I believe will not be more than just another attempt to up the special effects. Such was the case with Edge of Tomorrow. Regardless I decided to pick this movie on BluRay, mostly because the price was right, to my surprise it turned out to be the best SciFi bluray of the year, maybe the second if you count Guardians of the Galaxy as SciFi, which I don't. Smart and profound this film is a must for every aficionado. One of the most enjoyable parts of the movie is to watch the transformation of Tom Cruise.

Good concept / bad box art

I originally saw this movie in the theater, with fairly low expectations. I found the movie to be very enjoyable and added to the list of films to buy when released for home theater. I then picked it up and put it back down many times at the store because of the way the film is marketed on the box art. "Live Die Repeat" sounds idiotic, and the original title "Edge of Tomorrow" is perfectly apt for the story. It is really too bad that some marketing team somewhere decided that what the film really needed to sell, and sell well was to tap in to the Devine structure of the common man's shampoo instructions.

I thought this movie was going to be a bit redundant at first, but it is far from that. There were was a certain question I even asked out loud, to my dad, when we were watching it, but he didn't answer me. I won't say it here, since I don't want to spoil the movie; however, the actors are amazing, and the story line is outstanding as well. I'm very impressed, which is why I purchased it almost immediately after watching it. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves action movies and like to be kept on their toes.

One of Tom Cruise's best movies, this gem takes place in the near future where an alien species takes a foothold on Terra Firma. Cruise is a spokesman for a new battle suit for the front line when he is duped by the officer-in-charge and dumped indie along wth the invading forces. Landing on the beaches of France, Cruise meets his maker... Cut to Cruise waking up to the day before only to repeat the next day. And the next... And the next... Learning along the way how to survive, and to meet the only person who knows what he is experiencing - but lost the power.

I didn't find the story too believable on the character portrayed by Tom Cruise, but it didn't matter. The movie has good action sequences and strong acting that others will surely enjoy. The more interesting aspect of the movie is the slight similarity to the eye of Sauron. While they are looking for it, it is looking for them. The underlying Groundhog Day aspect of the movie gives an emotional touch when the lead characters learn move about one another. Overall, enjoyable movie!

Every so often a movie comes along that actually has it all. This is one of them! For me anyway. I love sci fy and this has plenty of it with a very unique story line. It mixes well with a lot of action and great special effects. Then mixes in humor, LOL humor, and romance. Tom Cruise does a great job with showing emotion and vulnerability along with the heroics of a superhero. It brings it all together and by the end, you’re wondering where the last 2 hours went. It's one of those movies that you watch over and over which is quite fitting for this movie.

    Fun movie with good 3D

I watched first in 2D for the story and then again in 3D to take it all in. I thought the movie itself was very good but not amazing. The picture in 2D is excellent. The 3D picture quality overall is very good. The live actors look really clean with little halo or ghosting around them. The larger aliens such as the alphas and the omega look amazing. My two small complaints would be that there is a lack of depth in some scenes and that the small aliens move too quickly and do not look as good in 3D. The 7.1 DTS HD Master audio soundtrack is awesome. At the start of the movie while the credits are still rolling your subwoofer will be tested.

Great story! Terrific acting! If you ever wanted to see Tom Cruise die gruesomely many, many, many times; this is your big chance! Similar to Bill Murray's character in GROUNDHOG DAY except, in addition to being a snarky so-and-so, Cruise's soldier is a weasel and a coward. Unfortunately, you also have to witness Emily Blunt's heroic alien killer die a few times. This is absolutely a demo-quality Blu-Ray that will bring out the best in any system. Image aspect ratio is 2.40:1 and sound is DTS-HD Master 5.1

There is not much to this film. The plotline is developed quickly and efficiently, but lacks any depth. This movie is good for blind entertainment if you are in the mood for it.

This underrated film was released in theaters as Edge of Tomorrow, and then as Live. Die. Repeat on video. Despite the confusion from the title, the story remains the same and it's awesome. Tom Cruise has to live the same day over and over, learning a little more each day. What follows is an interesting premise combined with incredible action packed set pieces. Highly recommend this movie.

Edge of Tommorow has a great premise , though it does put the science at the fringe of what if. so we can say this is an action movie, an alien invasion movie, a drama, a war movie, and a time travel movie all rolled up into one. There are some of the best action scenes ever filmed, everything unfolds as we progress thru the story and really would spoil it if we knew about the alien tech before watching the movie, though this stills makes this movie rewatchable. Great to show off your sourround sound system.

This is a very good movie for Sci-Fi fans, full of action and very good special effects. If you have a 7.1 or better home theatre system this movies opening sequence in particular will give subwoofers a true workout, so test your loudness levels first! ( I use this movie to calibrate the integration of my subs) As I said, a good thrill ride of a movie!

This did not do well in theaters, which is why they apparently decided to change the emphasis in the title for home video, but it really did earn its critical praise. While different from the graphic novel, the story is solid, and there is actual character development - yes, that's right - character development in a Tom Cruise action movie. They handle the concept of repeating - with slight changes - so well that it does not feel like you are watching the same scene over again, but rather experiencing something new each time.

Sadly, this movie didn't seem to register with the audiences in America, and so came and went — but it's a real intelligent, amazing, heart-pumping, fun ride that will not disappoint anyone. I won't spoil any detail of the story, but it's absolutely brilliant, and Tom Cruise, love him or hate him, is perfect and gives as usual 120% to his role. The DVD is crisp, nice, sounds wonderfully, and it's a real treat. Highly recommended (especially that now they've restored the original title and not how it came out in the theaters). Must see.

I have been watching and waiting for this awesome movie to go down in price. I mean, honestly, I could not see spending $30 on this movie and not because it isn't good but because it is an older movie, comes only with Blu Ray and digital copy features and many newer movies are out at lower prices. But when this movie was lowered in price considerably I jumped at the chance. I loved the premise of the film and love most movies with Tom Cruise. So don't judge me!! Lol. Great deal at a great price.
