its nice to see Tom changing things up in in his latest action movie. Tom doesn't even start the movie as a action star, he's a PR wimp; and he makes it believable..... then he transforms slowly into a killing machine. his female costar Emily blunt holds her own against tom throughout the whole movie, and the movie takes advantage of the groundhog day concept to splice much needed funny moments to break up the action/looping.

If you're a Sci-fi & War style Action...Look no further. I don't have time to explain plot or AV specifics, just trust me, the movie looks & sounds amazing on any HDTV setup! There's also some good extras if your interested in the behind the scenes. My only complaint is that there should have been a Commentary track with the director &/or Tom Cruise considering Cruise did one for Oblivion.

the last cruse movie i bought was topgun on vcr tape ,, so this is my 2nd TC movie bought .. donna read the reviews ,, til you watch this and get entertained for couple hours .. without any expectations . but TC's . war of the wold was bad .. i will likely buy the next topgun .. when it comes out ..

I went in with skepticism of Cruise. Turns out to be an interesting movie with an original sci-fi idea instead of rehashed garbage. Groundhog Day idea but this time there is a reason, hence sci-fi. Pleasantly surprised.

This was a movie that did not do all that well when it was in theaters, despite all of the positive critic and consumer reviews. It is a well paced, smart action movie with lots of unexpected humor thrown in. I would recommended this to most action and sci fi lovers. While it may seem silly or incomprehensible that one person is able to reset time, the proper explanation is given and the rest of the movie is well written.

I am one of those people who have never bothered to ugrade to Bluray (line doubling DVD with HDMI does just fine, thanks) I was happy to discover that this DVD was not a bluray combo pack but still offered the digital copy option. Many times I'll pay the extra $2 for the BluRay/DVD combo with digital copy, rather than to just have DVD and not all the extra features. This time around, it was the best of both for me, at a better than reasonable price.

A good cast and decent special effects were the highlights of this movie. Nothing really new, but worth watching...

This movie is underrated and I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger hit. I saw it in regular format at the theater but when I saw it on sale as a Blu-ray 3D, I snapped it up. It looks great on my 3D TV! It's an interesting plot and Cruise plays a cowardly officer who is thrown into battle and dies again and again until he learns to defeat the alien army attacking Earth. It's interesting to see Cruise play against type. I'm not even a big fan of his but the movie was very good.

I really didn't expect to like this movie. Not a huge fan of Tom Cruise as an actor as of late. Some of his choices have been really hit or miss to me. Not always his fault. Sometimes it's the movie itself and he just happens to be in it….but this movie's premise was good, and the Groundhog Day feel of it didn't get tiresome like I thought it would. The effects were good as well…and I think the payoff was worth it.

I know this movie didn't do well at the box office even though it received a 90 rating on Rotten Tomatoes. That being said, I still didn't have high expectations. I am glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed Live, Die, Repeat (as it's been renamed/rebranded by the studio. It has an original story with an unexpected amount of humor. Don't go by the box office, this time the critics had it right. This is an entertaining movie and definitely underrated.

This movie is very interesting. There's a existential dichotomy and perplexity to both main chatacters that slowly unfolds like an origami pterodactyl until both realizations are discovered. Death becomes a humerous pun if you dislike or even like Cruise. But he sure has a lot of fun with this character, proving once again why he's a box office cash hound, hunk and proving, too, that he can act.

I was eager to see this film in the theatres but was not able to find the time. After seeing it released on Blu-Ray I made my way to the local Best Buy to purchase. The plot is interesting and the story line entertaining... and perhaps more importantly, my wife also enjoyed it. It was a nice surprise to find an action packed movie with humor, a constantly development story and a character (Tom Cruise played) that didn't start out as the hero you might expect for his movies!

The 3d effects are alright not great. If ur buying this to show off a 3d TV or projector I would choose something else.

All you need is kill is the original title of the Japanese manga this movie was adapted by. Tom Cruise is amazing in this movie which is a sci fi mix of Action, War movie and ground hogs day thrown into the mix. Basically spoiler free Tom Cruise relives the same day over and over again while a war with an Alien being is taking place. Great popcorn movie one of Cruise's best

I have always loved Groundhog Day. Well, this movie is groundhog day for Military SciFi, where Cruises character goes back again and again to get one day right in a future-set military assault (One of the nice things about Live, Die, Repeat is you learn *why* and *how* the day keeps repeating even if it is far-fetched :-) ) So if you like Groundhog Day and military SciFi movies you will like this movie

Really a first film after his marriage blew up, his link to Scientology became a liability, and generally folks were thinking he was not an actor they wanted to support. Watching him get killed in oh, so many ways was sort of palate cleansing from all that drama and you focus just on the ability to act. Pace is alright. The story had a good hook. It is most fun watching how the different characters subtly adjust their acting in the repeated scenes.

The premise of the story is a little far-fetched but Hey, this is science FICTION. Video = 5 stars. Excellent contrast and color saturation. Audio = 5 stars. The explosions hit without the base rumbling. Center channel voices are clear, easily understandable.

I love films that have an element of time travel in them. While this isn't the traditional idea of time travel, it is a truly enjoyable experience. Tom Cruise is great and at time, pretty hilarious in this. Without giving too much away, Cruise must relive the same day over and over until he can figure out a way to save the world from an invading alien race. Interested? You should be. Check it out!

Alien Invasion leaves Humans with massive casualties, Their advantage? Time manipulation. One alien leader dies, time resets and they go on to fight another day, or the same day depending on reference you're using. Tom Cruise unwittingly gains control of this time resetting power and well folks you know the rest. Great special features and 3D all action with minimal character development just what we all want right? Good movie not Tom's best though. Enjoy.

Tom Cruise gets a lot of flack and his movies have not done well recently, but I really think this one was great. I cannot understand why it did not get more love on the box-office. Emily Blunt is perfect for the role and Tom Cruise is actually good...I would suggest everyone to see this as I have not met anyone who did not like this movie!! Blu-ray has great picture and sound!!
