This is probably one among Tom Cruise's best movies. The main story might not be unique but the execution is top notch. The acting is world class as you would normally expect from Tom. Emily Blunt's performance was strong as well. After watching it I added the blu ray to my collection. In short - just go and watch it. It will definitely exceed your expectations.

Everyone wishes from time to time they could go back in time ti fix something they didn't get right the first time. The question is: How may times would you go back in order to get something right if you didn't actually know what "right" was in the first place? This movie explores that question, and the perseverance of the main character allows us to watch him evolve from self centered wimp to hero. Some things are a stretch, but wholly entertaining.

I must say this movie is very enjoyable. It has a nice unique take on the sci-fi genre, but I feel the terrible trailers and poor marketing have kept people from checking it out. It's not your typical alien invasion movie, it's more of a hybrid of Indepedence Day meets Groundhog Day. Tom Cruise delivered a great performance and Emily Blount was equally good. You should definitely check it out.

I enjoy the action movies with Tom Cruise... he's a guy who gives it his all. Now add Emily Blunt to the mix... even better! Someone compared this to 'Groundhog Day' because of the reliving on a daily basis... but not even close. The progression throughout the the movie was well thought out and kept me thoroughly interested... great movie with an appropriate ending.

We've seen it before with Groundhog day -- and we will see it again in that new teen drama/thriller -- the protagonist learns a lesson while living the same day over and over again through helping others. This time done in a wonderful science-fiction setting, the story grabs on to you and doesn't let you go until the third act where it nearly falls on its face. Regardless, the first hour twenty are worth the money.

This movie is excellent. I was pleasantly surprised, especially from the actors. Cruise is somewhat typical Cruise-characteresque, while Blunt truly stands out to me. Great storyline, interesting plot, well executed effects. The behind the scenes of this film is especially great, as you can see how they did most of the explosions and effects in camera instead of all in post. Awesome!

This along with Ex Machina almost tie for best scifi film making in a long time. The story, acting, and effects are absolutely amazing. The special features are wonderful and give a great inside perspective into its making. The full HD is stunning! I have this exact review for Ex Machina and the same applies here! Both films are a must buy for any scifi film aficionado.

This movie was very entertaining. A friend with no interest at all in this movie, who also dislikes Tom Cruise, ended up loving Edge of Tomorrow. The movie has an interesting story, great action, surprising amount of comedy, and a likeable tough female character played by Emily Blunt. Give Edge of Tomorrow, one of the best movies of the summer, a chance and you will not be disappointed.

The movie is great, as advertised. This is a movie that I watch over and over while on long plane rides. As such, I always go for the movie disks with the digital copy that can be stored on the computer or iPad. Unfortunately, this movie has a digital copy that is not iTunes compatible. So, you have to set up a third party account like Flixster to use the digital copy. Not the most desirable method for me, but can adapt to it.

The Edge of Tomorrow will keep you on the edge of your seat as you follow Major Cage and the Angel of Verdun in their suicide mission to rid the earth of the alien Mimic invaders. And it truly is a suicide mission. Both of them die. Many times. With each cycle, they improve their chances to wipe out the alien army. Will they succeed before they run out of cycles? Find out for yourself!

as the author of the epic fantasy novel Bloodspiller I am more than familiar with sci-fi and state clearly that although the concept is not original the execution of movie was great. Tom Cruise is a very hard working actor whose work ethic I greatly respect and makes movies for the general fan base of ticket buyers. The film was fun and as usual the production values were superior.

I enjoyed this the first time I saw it. If you like science fiction and action/war movies, you will enjoy this. It might seem a little far fetched, but isn't that sci-fi? I enjoyed it the second time much more, as I wasn't trying to figure out what was giong on, but just enjoying the show. I highly recommend if you like sci-fi and I have watched this about half-dozen times or so.

Pros: If you want to show off your home theater system, Edge of Tomorrow will do just that. I liked the Audio quality of the new Godzilla movie, but it was mostly roars. Edge of Tomorrow in my opinion sets a new standard in Blu Ray audio with clear separation of all 7.1 channels, thundering Bass, and absolute clear dialog. Cons: The story repeating gets old, while not an long movie, it certain feels like I just watched Lord of the Rings.

I consider this movie to be on my "Like to watch list". It has very good special effects, and excellent acting. Especially because of Tom Cruise, which I consider to be one of the best actors around. He has always been one of my favorite actors since the eighties. The movie has excellent (and plenty of), action, with a good plot added. If you're into "futuristic" sci-fi type movies, then you can't go wrong here. This movie you'll like.

I was surprised that this movie didn’t do as well at the theatre as I thought it would. The plot, for me, was both smart and intelligent and made for great sci-fi fare. It was definitely a high-action flick. It was sort of a “keep doing it until you get it right” type of plot which kept you going and wondering whether we were going to succeed after all; very thought provoking.

This movie is smart, exciting and well done. The premise is Ground Hog Day meets Starship Troopers and it works amazingly well. Very creative, clever story telling. Tom Cruise is perfect for the part and, tho I hate to say it, actually kind of reminded me of Harrison Ford in this one - the right level of seriousness with a mix of humor and Everyman qualities. Great movie!

Tom Cruise gives a finely crafted performance that makes his character believable thoughout. Emily Blunt is surprising in her tough girl role.Bill Paxton gives a great supporting performance. The bluray images are fantastic and the pace is breakneck. The story may have holes when you think about it afterwords, but it's a great sci-fi outing (and they all have holes anyway).

Not a big tom cruise fan but love smoking hot Emily blunt in any thing she does. The killing sequences of her shooting tom are hilarious. No real chemistry bertwen the two of them but the plot and action keep the movie moving long. The movie but self is complex and start to unwind near the end.

Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow is A Great Ground Hog Day movie with Tom Cruise being enlisted into a battle he is not prepared for with aliens in control of the earth without anyone except for a few who get the chance to live to fight another day after they die and return to fight again. Moves along well and has a interesting story line.
