Not for the elderly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alexa skill has some serious shortcomings. Can't imagine how an elderly person would ever get this working. 1) Doesn't suggest favorites first when giving you a choice of names it matches. 2) Comes up with different results if you sort your contacts first name/last name versus the last name/first name. Should have an easier way to import contacts from Google or Outlook.

NOT a good phone for seniors
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really disappointed in this phone because the Lively customer service people are really great. My old phone, a Consumer Cellular Link II, had many good features but was very hard to text with and had no alert light for new messages, which I want quite badly. Additionally, the CC customer service has deteriorated badly in recent times: they want you to go online for customer service just like most companies these days. The Lively flip phone is, at best, a very mediocre device. It is not easy to use and, worst of all, it has no calendar on which to note appointments, etc. Another big negative for seniors, So, I guess I'm looking for another phone again.

It should not be so difficult to navigate.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is much more complicated than it has to be. There are too many levels to click through in order to do the most basic functions. There is a good chance it will become frustrating to your senior.

Not as advertised.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The two most important features of this phone for my elderly mom (speed dial and answer on open) are non-functional. Tech support told me that a software update should fix these and other issues, but I need to wait for "up to six weeks" for the update to be received. This is totally unacceptable since these advertised features were main reasons I purchased this phone.

Lively (Jiiterbug) a company in disarray.......
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.took a LONG time to activate account in store. could not get voicemail to function (had not attempted to set this up in the store, tried UNSUCCESFULLY at home, later....) requiring HOURS of fruitless phone calls with dead end suggestions until company (Lively) sent me an exchange phone. ... A LOT of time spent with this company on what is supposed to be a simple -to-operate "old people's" phone . THe sales help in Best Buy from person who I made the original purchase with was "uninspired" (sales person didn't know about the phone operation and disinclined to find out...) Sales help from different agent (FERNANDO GARCIA) to set up voicemail on second visit with replacement phone was way, way BETTER!-

Lousiest Device We've Ever Owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Garbage. After 6 mos, phone suddenly "dumped" all pictures and refused any texts with pics attached. After 45 mins on phone with their techs, suddenly, "It is a known system problem," and "We're working on it." After two weeks, same answer, then, "Oh, didn't we send you a replacement phone?" No, you didn't. Sent a replacement. After 4 weeks, replacement phone would receive NO texts, with or without pics. Another hour on the phone with techs, booting and rebooting, etc. Then, "Well, guess we'll have to send you another phone."

Don’t recommend to anyone! Tracking is terrible.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this phone for a relative, due to the ease of use and tracking. I am very tech savvy and had many issues attempting to activate and set up the phone and account. I can’t imagine someone that doesn’t deal with computers and technology on a daily basis, trying to set this up. It was beyond ridiculous! After having the service for several months and setting up auto pay, I still have to manually pay the bill. The tracking is a joke. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Deceiving billing amount
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told my phone would be 19.99 per month and estimated monthly cost on activation summary said 19.99 but low and behold when I received my banking statement they had deducted 27.49, not 19.99. I called, they said this was taxes. I wasn’t told this at the time I bought the phone. People should be told this up front, especially when people are on fixed incomes and are budgeting for a certain amount.

All basic phones on the market does not look good.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Verizon LG Revere 3 and it's the best basic phone on the market. The texting, speed dialing, voicemail and etc. is so easy to use. It has a readout feature which the phone talks to you in a woman's voice. It tells you when a text or call is coming in and from who. All the reviews about the Jitterbug is all bad and can't do what the LG Revere 3 does. So I will not purchase the Jitterbug. I'm mad that all 3G phones will be discontinued.

Train your employees!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is not for seniors and hard of seeing. I explained to the clerk what I needed and this is what he recommended and it is useless . You have to have wifi for it to work. Now I am stuck with a unusable phone and out about $150.00. You need to train your employees better.
