It's an easy to use flip phone. I didn't want a smart phone or be forced to buy a data plan. This phone is exactly what I needed as all I do is make phone calls on it. The numbers and keys are in larger print so that's an added bonus.

Phone has been good for my 85 year old mother. However, the volume button being on the side of the phone where it is held during calls is a terrible design flaw. Very often while my Mom is talking, she inadvertently presses the volume button and turns it down to silent. She doesn’t know it is on Siena and then when I call and can’t get an answer, there is a panic on why she is not answering and requires someone to go to her house to turn the volume back up. Other than that, it has served her well. But this is an ongoing daily/weekly problem.

the phone itself is fine.... the phone must have sat at the store for quite some time. it needed updated, but yet there isn't any alert of any kind to tell you that it needs an update. Had lots of dropped calls, and unable to make outgoing calls. Returned the first phone to Best Buy thinking it was an issue with the phone.. Then the same issue with the second phone. It would be nice if there was some alert stating it needs an update, or if the Best Buy staff knows that the phone as been sitting there for a long time, maybe advise customer to call Lively to get it updated. Of course smart phones let you know when an update is needed, but these basic phones do not.

I purchased this phone for my mother who is 89 years old. It was to replace her previous Great Call phone which was damaged. This phone is easy for her to use and the large buttons are easy for her to see and the price makes the phone affordable. The gentleman I spoke to at the Great Call service center was very helpful in setting up the new phone. Overall, it was a good experience.

I purchased this phone for my 82 year old sister who lives in a nursing home. The store clerk set it up for me and then I entered the phone numbers. The only issue we have had is a user error. My sister has accidently placed it on silence three times and once erased all of the phone numbers. These issues are not issues with the phone but with the user. Lively has been great to work with. I have an account set up. They even allowed me to pay a year in advance so I didn't have to worry about the monthly bill. It is a great phone for someone who is older. It is easy to use, easy to charge and easy to program numbers.

Newer Jitterbug is improved in keys visibility. It was simple to transfer from my old settings onto the new device. Best Buy gave me the Lively Customer Service number and preliminary do’s and don’t’s. It took just minutes and the Jitterbug rep stayed on with me to answer any questions

The phone is a simple, basic phone with big butons for seniors that only need to talk (primarily) and text (occassionally). After being assured that Best buy would move the contacts from the old phone (Samsusung 10 Android) to the new phone, the Best buy rep expoerted all the contacts to a SD card - and charged me for it - and then after 10 minutes, said there were too many contacts and that we would have to move them manually without providing any instructions. Once we tried there was no way to access the SD card in the Lively phone and were told that they have to be manually input. Bottom line line - decent phone for seniors but Best buy "total Tech" is a joke and doesn't deliver what they promise - is that fraud?

Great phone. This is for a senior family member. The phone is fairly easy for them to use (age 82). Large display. Has speaker phone option. Clear and loud audio/ring settings. The Urgent Response button in itself is fantastic and very well worth it. Highly recommend

We have one of these for my father and it's a good basic flip phone with very easy to use features IF your senior relative is willing to work with it. I like the fact that the pocket dial is not as common as you have to press OK to dial etc. The commands should be easier but if the user is still not keen on learning how to use it and hearing impaired you may find it not as easy as you think. I would recommend it for users who know how to use a flip phone and just want it for urgent matters.

Bought this for our 89 year old mother in law. The transfer from one provider to Lively took a visit to the other providers store and three very lengthy phone calls to finally get the transferred number onto the new Lively device. The Lively operators (two of them) told me that this happens all the time and about 50% require a couple of different troubleshooting actions to fix. Once that occurred still the product needed to be restarted 3 times to get the highest volume (in and out) to be accepted and working. The reason I am giving it 3 stars and not worse is because now that all of those problems have been worked through the phone works well and is easy for her to use.

We have tried other phones with no success. But with the Jitterbug, it is the perfect phone for my 7) year old husband who is not fond of technology. This phone came with an instruction guide, big buttons, big letters and numbers so he can see them. It’s great!!

I purchased this phone for my senior father. He was using a semi-smart phone with a touch screen that was a real pain for him. I considered getting a new fully smart phone for him, but then I saw this phone and a great Black Friday deal at Best Buy. Considering everything he really needs in a phone (calling people, basically), this one seemed perfect, and indeed it has been. I set the phone up for my father, which was easy to do with Lively, and they have a great $20 a month plan with unlimited call and text. Then I added some contacts for him. I didn't sign up for the health alerts because he already has another plan, but it's a great option. That was really all I needed to do to get this into a shape that will be useful for him. It's nice that the phone also does texts, takes photos, has a flashlight, etc., but he probably won't use those features. It's just large enough for him to see and push the buttons, but small enough to fit in his shirt pocket. So, overall, I highly recommend this for an older person looking for a straightforward cell phone.

I like this Lively Jitterbug flip2 cellphone. It's mostly easy to use and has features I need and does not have features I don't need in a cellphone, like internet access. The one feature I would wish was improved is the 8 mb camera, which could very much use an anti-shake mechanism that point-and-shoots have, and increased resolution, which would be valued by me. I'd also like the flash to be able to be turned off, but maybe I haven't yet figured how to do that.
