Customers are enthusiastic about the Jitterbug Flip2's ease of use, size, and reasonable price, frequently citing the large buttons and easy-to-read display as key advantages. However, some users expressed concerns regarding battery life and the volume, while others noted limitations with texting and speed dial capabilities. The emergency button was also a frequently praised feature. Reception quality proved inconsistent for some customers.

the phone itself is fine.... the phone must have sat at the store for quite some time. it needed updated, but yet there isn't any alert of any kind to tell you that it needs an update. Had lots of dropped calls, and unable to make outgoing calls. Returned the first phone to Best Buy thinking it was an issue with the phone.. Then the same issue with the second phone. It would be nice if there was some alert stating it needs an update, or if the Best Buy staff knows that the phone as been sitting there for a long time, maybe advise customer to call Lively to get it updated. Of course smart phones let you know when an update is needed, but these basic phones do not.

I like this Lively Jitterbug flip2 cellphone. It's mostly easy to use and has features I need and does not have features I don't need in a cellphone, like internet access. The one feature I would wish was improved is the 8 mb camera, which could very much use an anti-shake mechanism that point-and-shoots have, and increased resolution, which would be valued by me. I'd also like the flash to be able to be turned off, but maybe I haven't yet figured how to do that.

Got this phone for an elderly family member, had some issues with getting the phone to accept and receive calls but after a quick call to Lively they were able to help with that. Since then we have not had any issuse, seems to be a good emergency phone for those that dont want a life alert button.

Phone arrived very quickly (within 2 days). Looks very nice and buttons are very large and easy to see/read. For the most part, device is easier to use than other similar flip phones. Have not yet used camera so cannot rate.

Nice phone for elderly users. My dad uses it for shopping trips and whenever he leaves the house. My dad is 85 years old so the simplest phone is all he needed. It also is affordable for him since he doesn’t use WiFi and the cost is locked into a monthly payment.

Bought this for my 92 y.o. step-father. It is a handy little flip phone for 'use as a back-up to an IPhone or Samsung flat screens. It is challenging for seniors with memory difficulties. I have had problems getting the settings to lock. Seems the buttons on the right side of the phone easily unlocks the settings ie: "speed dial" when handled. A very poor design.
Would not purchase if there was a more simple phone available.

I purchased this phone for my senior father. He was using a semi-smart phone with a touch screen that was a real pain for him. I considered getting a new fully smart phone for him, but then I saw this phone and a great Black Friday deal at Best Buy.
Considering everything he really needs in a phone (calling people, basically), this one seemed perfect, and indeed it has been.
I set the phone up for my father, which was easy to do with Lively, and they have a great $20 a month plan with unlimited call and text. Then I added some contacts for him. I didn't sign up for the health alerts because he already has another plan, but it's a great option.
That was really all I needed to do to get this into a shape that will be useful for him. It's nice that the phone also does texts, takes photos, has a flashlight, etc., but he probably won't use those features. It's just large enough for him to see and push the buttons, but small enough to fit in his shirt pocket. So, overall, I highly recommend this for an older person looking for a straightforward cell phone.

it does what is expected of it. Compact, stylish, unobtrusive. What more could we hope for?

I bought this for my 90 year old Father and it was perfect. It's simple, easy to use, large, very loud (Which I needed as his hearing aids aren't always in), and best of all he seems to be able to use it fairly well compared to other phones.

The Jitterbug Phone came through just as it was advertised.
Easy to use with great clarity and power even in dubious areas of the city. I've given it five stars for all of my fellow senior friends to behold. It's simply ... THE BEST!!!!

Third jitterbug phone I’ve had. It’s easy to carry and sufficient for my needs. The ringer could be louder however. I was told I couldn’t buy a replacement battery which I felt was a screw!

Beautiful red color. I have to read up on features. They seem simple enough. I don't think a photo can be added to the outside window. Getting over a dozen recorded calls from "unknown" for Medicare every week compared to just a few on the same phone number before it was transferred. Can't figure out why.
