    Don't Buy for an Elderly Person!!!

    This phone is a nightmare for an older person. With my mom's old flip phone, you simply opened it and the call was connected. With this Lively phone, she has to hunt for the "OK" button, then press it. That's easy for a younger person, but next to impossible for an older one while the thing is ringing and she's panicking. And Lively advertises this for old people! Did anyone at Lively test this design with seniors? It sure doesn't seem like it. I spent an hour on my phone getting it activated and getting her old number ported onto it. Then the fun began, calling her again and again and getting no answer, and having to drive to her place over and over trying to teach her to use it. Bottom line: two hundred bucks down the drain and a weekend lost. What a lousy product!

    I bought this phone for a 95 year old that has vision issues and has never had a cell phone. He thinks this will help him a lot and he now has a Urgent Response !

    Had to be sent a new phone from Lively, because phone bought from Best Buy did not work properly. From time of purchase, to receiving new phone, it took two weeks to be set up with my new phone.

    With the exception of the emergency button being unusable ( must buy a more expensive service plan ) this device lives up-to its stated goals.

    I bought this phone straight from lively.com! Right away it started dropping calls! It failed to gain a signal all through Independence Day Weekend! I have never achieved more than two bars! Under no circumstances do I find BEST BUY at fault for this situation!!!

    I'd like to give this a 1 star rating, but people (myself included) tend to throw out the 1 star ratings as simply being posted by angry people. I purchased one of these for my Mom. It worked for about 6 months and just died. I had it replaced and the 2nd one lasted ... again about 6 months and died. Won't be going down that road again.

    If youre making calls from this phone, it works fine. If you recieve calls from this phone the caller cant hear you but you can hear the caller. Lively customer service sucks, youll be on hold for 30 minutes or more bedore anyone answers you.

    Bought this Feb. 21st and still do not have it set up properly. The Jitterbug people used the wrong number and I still do not have it corrected after 7 calls to them.

    We got it for my sister inthe nursing home. She had flip g3 phone discontinued.The reason we stayed with flip phone she's 82.

    Good luck trying to cancel service

    The phone was not a go for us, because it was confusing for my parent to have to wade through menu options in order to place a call. I canceled service promptly. A month later I got a bill. Called, they said the previous person must not have processed the refund correctly, I could now expect a refund in 15 days. 25 days later it's charged on my credit card. I called again, was told to expect a refund in 15 days. 3 weeks later, still no refund. Called again, surprise surprise, the "refund wasn't processed correctly." I'm going to have to dispute this on my credit card, it's like pulling teeth to get the owed refund.
