Don’t recommend to anyone! Tracking is terrible.

I purchased this phone for a relative, due to the ease of use and tracking. I am very tech savvy and had many issues attempting to activate and set up the phone and account. I can’t imagine someone that doesn’t deal with computers and technology on a daily basis, trying to set this up. It was beyond ridiculous! After having the service for several months and setting up auto pay, I still have to manually pay the bill. The tracking is a joke. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

    Deceiving billing amount

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I was told my phone would be 19.99 per month and estimated monthly cost on activation summary said 19.99 but low and behold when I received my banking statement they had deducted 27.49, not 19.99. I called, they said this was taxes. I wasn’t told this at the time I bought the phone. People should be told this up front, especially when people are on fixed incomes and are budgeting for a certain amount.

All basic phones on the market does not look good.

I have a Verizon LG Revere 3 and it's the best basic phone on the market. The texting, speed dialing, voicemail and etc. is so easy to use. It has a readout feature which the phone talks to you in a woman's voice. It tells you when a text or call is coming in and from who. All the reviews about the Jitterbug is all bad and can't do what the LG Revere 3 does. So I will not purchase the Jitterbug. I'm mad that all 3G phones will be discontinued.

    Train your employees!!!!

This phone is not for seniors and hard of seeing. I explained to the clerk what I needed and this is what he recommended and it is useless . You have to have wifi for it to work. Now I am stuck with a unusable phone and out about $150.00. You need to train your employees better.

3 hours to do setup and port my old number over ,,,and additional fees here and there ,,, as well as non-disclosed info about it ...and misleading pricing for monthly plan ...and more for the sos button function ...all these costs are fine if disclosed up front ... but when buying a big button phone ,,,,you might not be able to read the fine print . duh !

Setting up through lively was extremely challenging with numerous calls to them. The call and end call buttons are completely opposite of any phone we have ever utilized and is challenging for an older person to get used to.

Did not get the help I needed. 45 minutes on phone and they could not get the phone signal. When bought I was told it was ready to use. Not so. We paid to have it set up which it would not work. Second time I went in she told me to hook it up to the internet which she did. What good would a phone be if it only working in your house. this phone is not for seniors when it won't work. Spent money for nothing.

    Not happy.

The phones didn’t work for us, and we needed to return them, but no one told us that we had to do it within 2 weeks, so we couldn’t get a refund because we didn’t return them until 4 weeks later. Someone should have told us that. Not happy with that!

    Okay phone, terrible interface

"You get what you pay for," but honestly I'm not sure this phone is even worth $30. To make a simple call it's much easier for my 90-year-old mother to memorize everyone's phone number and punch it in rather than navigate and go through the menu system to dial a number. The manual says it has "Quick Dial." It does not. The display looks good, seems sturdy build quality. Easy to use? It is not.

It's too hard to figure out how to do some things like delete missed calls. I couldnt find instructions in the manuel and the agent at lively didn't even know how to do it. I found how on a youtube video.

    Your product stinks

This is regarding the jitterbug/lively cell phone. It took about 85 tries to get to the point where I can write a review, and it goes to best buy. Negative 50 stars. The people on the phone, when I called 30 times, are very nice (and not outsourced) but I think their hands are tied when it comes to actually fixing your problem. 'unlimited' is actually limited. First chance I (it spell checks 'ok' when I write I) get, I'm switching back to at least a semi-smart phone. To any other company. Your product stinks.

    RECEIVES TEXTS FOR ONLINE SEX

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this phone for my 11 year old son. He has received calls and texts from people who want to sell things including online sex. When I called the customer service line, they said I should put his phone number on the "No Call List" but told me there was no way to block texts. My son receives 4-5 texts a day offering sex. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!

Was to slick to hold on too, when you dial number you shouldn’t have to dial star to send . Also to hard to remove contacts from the phone.

bought for a 90-year-old whose health did not permit giving it for a few days. Learned it was not going to work for him. I checked online to begin return process only to find on 12/3 It was too late to return it. Only a 2-week return window which ended 12/1. Very disappointed and now stuck with phone.

Multiple attempts with customer service to activate it have failed. It eventually appears that we have succeeded. I try it a few days later and it doesn’t work. Have not been able to make a single call or receive a call yet.

Do not deal with this company!!! They make it very difficult to cancel the phone. I got charged for two months after I cancelled the account. The phone proved too difficult for my cousin who’s in a nursing home, to use.
