I have had the Jitterbug Smart 3 phone for about 3 yrs, was VERY happy with it and with the customer service I received with it. Have just recently purchased the Jitterbug Smart 4 from Best Buy, and so far I am very satisfied with it, it is a great phone.

It works well when it works, but it turns off the ringer for no reason, and also goes into airplane in the middle of a call. It could just be a bad sample, as I had one of these before that worked better, though that sometimes also did the ringer off thing.

i have #3 now i started having trouble with my old one . i saw that the #4 phone had gone down in price. now it was time to buy. my problem was not the item. i was trying to purcase it and zip took out their money the best buy took whole amount out. it was not a good experiance

The Smart4 seems more reliable than previous models. It's a bit of a challenge to set up desired features and turn-off the numerous Google spyware applications, but once up and running, it works well. REMEMBER to back-up your contact information before disposing of your old phone. Also, be sure to order the proper protective case - it's a bit larger than previous models.

It does everything my otĥersmart phone does, but, it is less complicated. That is something I appreciate.

Perfect for my 88 year old mother that is technology challenged & eye sight not that good ! She can talk & text & use emoji’s ! Highly recommend for someone that wants simple & basic smart phone

I purchased this Jitterbug Smart4 for my wife, who is an early-stage dementia patient, so she would have something easy to use. This would allow her to continue to communicate with family and friends. So far, so good.

This is the second Jitterbug that I purchased for my Dad from Best Buy. We love it and it helps keep him safe and connected. The purchasing experience was super easy and friendly.

EXTREMELY BAD CHOICE FOR SENIORS - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Previously purchased Lively Smart phone for my mom. Were told there was coverage for her zip code by Lively customer service, as well as Best Buy. After receiving phone and trying to connect - 'No Network Available' appeared on phone. Had support look up zip code, again (4th time) to check , and was told there is NO SERVICE for that zip code. They use Verizon towers, but not their equipment or placement on tower. We were hung up on several times while taking over a week to resolve the issue, so my elderly parents were without phone service for a week!? I could go on and on.. but you get the jest!

Loved my Jitterbug 3. Got me to use a smart phone. It lasted about a year and a half then i couldnt call or text. I ordered a new phone. If i am texting it will flip to a different page or if im on Fb it will change. My home page will disappear. I am having some medical issues and not having a fully functioning phone is really bothering me. Probably will go with a carrier that i can get local support

So far this phone is very easy for my Wife with Dementia to text with. Unfortunately she can't remember how to answer a phone call

This website (and Lively's) do not mention the ACTIVATION FEE required to turn on phone ($25 online, $35 if you do on the phone) and that you will be forced to sign up for a monthly plan, even if you want to use the phone unlocked. Moreover, you must purchase and activate *at the same time* in order to get a partial refund of the activation fee (i.e., you need to buy a plan at the same time you buy the phone). Best Buy, do better. This is already too complicated a process for seniors (or for me, their adult child). Buying an unlocked phone or getting a cell for other prepaid plans is much simplier. Why can't you just be clear and transparent?!

Has some kinks and needs to allow use of old apps.

As replacement for an aged flip phone, we fell for the ads, promoting how easy the Jitterbug is. Yes, price is good. However, NEVER shared in any ad we saw, is the fact that you are limited to service with Lively; price: $33/month. A true wake-up was the user's manual; admittedly, small size, BUT 170 pages! Activation NOT easy, at least, for us; I am fairly experienced, far from expert, but it was a challenge. And my husband never did get the trick for using the phone. a safety measure for him on his daily walk. He is back to a truly simple flip phone, with an annual plan with Tracfone for $99.00.

It is a good phone in number of ways and am hoping my 94 year old father can take to it fairly quickly!
