The overall phone makes it easy to see the menu options. It doesn't hold a charge for long. It came with a booklet but as I was flipping through the pages each one came away from the glue side of the book. Most of the manual needs a rubber band to keep it together. The other issue I have is settings remaining where I set them. For example, the Do Not Disturb setting is marked no on but it changes itself and puts it on so therefore I lose calls because I don't hear the ringer. The Home and Back app is too close to the bottom of the phone. This design makes it too easy to change the setting back to the main menu especially while taking a picture and I miss the opportunity presented for the picture. The monthly charge for having unlimited everything is way too high for someone on a fixed income.

Bought this for my 93 year old mother-in-law. She loves it. Simple foe her ro use. More intuitive than other smart phones, and larger "buttons". The instruction book is also easy to follow with good illustrations.

The Smart 4 is easy to utilize. While figuring out how to use it is fairly self explanatory, there is always the truly friendly customer service. The only issue I have are the random additions that appears on the all apps options.

Hard to review a product that is till not working. The last lively phone I purchased was activated and set up in the store within an hour. I bought this second one for my mother who is 98, on Feb. 23. Best Buy has bought Lively and yet they made me take the phone home and get phone number transferred on my own. I have have been on the phone with Lively over ten hours since I bought the phone. Every time I called they would tell me to do something in about a half hour after they hung up and it should work. Invariably, the next time I called they would tell me I had to do another step, that the previous rep did not tell me. 3-19 I called again they told me to do something 30 minutes after they hung up and it should work. Again DID NOT WORK. I called yet again, and they determined, after a half hour, there was something wrong with the phone and they would send a new. So almost a month and no phone. Hard to review if you don't have a working phone.

Got this for a 90 year old relative. Previously had a flip phone. He loves it. It took him a day to learn the features. Very intuitive design. Great support from Lively. He's in good health and lives alone. The emergency button gives the family peace of mind.

I bought this Jitterbug Smart4 at our Best Buy in Natick, MA. Johnny was the sales person and he was extremely helpful in setting it up for me (I am 85). I love the Jitterbug Smart 4 and find it very easy to use. I had an iPhone 6S but rarely used it, but this one is going to get a lot of wear. Thank you. MBT

Happy with Jitterbug Smart4 Smartphone for Seniors

Verizon, in taking over Tracfone, took away my ability to use an inexpensive smartphone. A conversation with my niece was cut off mid-sentence, as Verizon wanted to charge me what I considered an outrageous monthly fee to continue. That same niece recommended that I look into purchasing a Jitterbug. After researching a bit and looking at options, I chose the Jitterbug Smart 4 Smartphone for Seniors. A Best Buy tech helped me purchase the item which I took back to the store after I received it. There, a second tech helped me “fill” the phone as it were- in other words, make it workable. So far, I have been very happy with my choice.

Love this phone. I may replace the other phone I currently have with a second Lively Jitterbug Smart 4 Smartphone for Seniors. So much easier to use than the smart phone I have used for several years.

Bought this for my 87 year old Father in Law. This was an upgrade from a Jitterbug Version 3. The new Jitterbug is faster to load apps and is much more responsive from the previous version. It may look the same but it is quicker and a tiny bit larger. I thought this was a very good buy while on sale.

The on button is very hard to get to . It is recess and small. For the older people it is very hard to get too. They change it on the new phone. Terrible update.

very frustrating waste of time. IMO avoid them (Lively) like the plague.very frustrating wait to get thru their phone system, and hopefully these 10-15 waits are temporary, In and of itself the phone is a good chice for seniors (I'm 75). Once I got connected to a live person, in the USA btw, they seemed to be helpful.. I was told the porting of the old number would take 5-7 days. It was done the next morning but I hadn't received notification and was confused. I had to call to get things like text messaging set up properly. Thw woman I worked with told me the phone was all set to go and the number had already been ported. Well, I naively did not check while she was on the line. Later I discovered the temporary line I was assigned at activation no longer worked, the new phone with my 'ported' just went to voicemail, which I was unable to retrieve, and I cannot send text messges or make or receive calls.. I have wasted about 6 hours on this and accomplished nothing. Now I must call them again. it is the worst experience I have every had in nearly 30 years of having cell phones. I am also going to cancel my emergency device service also. What a nightmare. Thank God I have a VOIP cordless phone.

This is a wonderful, easy phone, however - the lively service is sketchy in the area where our friend lives and there seems to be no fix. For this reason, sadly, we will be forced to return this phone because it cannot work with other services.
