    A darker X-Men story

This movie was incredible. I'm a DC comics girl through and through. I enjoy most of the Marvel films but typically not as much as a DC. Logan is an exception. It's dark and gritty and sad and beautiful. A perfect send off for the the Hugh Jackman Wolverine. This movie is NOT appropriate for little kids. It's different than Deadpool, but just as inappropriate. Course language, plenty of violence and a tragic storyline that only older fans should watch. A lot of people think of a comic book movie and think it'll be fun and lighthearted. This is not that. BUT, if you're a fan of darker comics, or just a fan of dark action films, you should love Logan. I would recommend it to everyone.

    Waited years for this

This is the Wolverine movie many fans have wanted and waited years for. The personal drama, inner conflicts and the reality of just who Logan is and why he's the best at what he does shows. Many might say the violence is over the top but it is in keeping with the character and is for a "comic" book movie more realistic than any of the others. In color this is a gripping movie, but the Logan Noir (Black & White) version makes it a gritty film where the story is not distracted by clashes of color trying to grab your attention. Even if you don't like "superhero" movies this movie is different, it's about dreams, harsh realities of life, facing the results of your actions, honor, and Hope.

    A Dark Western

Logan is the way most comic book movies with adult themed characters should be done. Dark and gritty in this case. This plot is loosely based on the Old Man Logan series but here the movie takes a different approach and in my opinion, makes it better. Of course, I am not going to spoil anything but I will say that Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart deserve Oscar nominations for their performances. The feels in this movie are real and leave their mark after the final scene. The bonus of this Blu Ray/4k edition is that we get the Noir version which at first I had minimum expectations but upon watching it, I felt like I was getting a new movie again. Don't pass up this remarkable film.

Another great addition to the X-men franchise. Definitely bloody and definitely sad but a nice flick nonetheless.

Easily the most solid X-Men movie yet

Logan is an excellent film, even outside of the comic book "genre". It works as an action drama, with a bit of western elements. It's adult, in content, and execution. It's not adult because of nudity and violence, but because of the heaviness of the plot, and the way the film isn't afraid to slow down to let it's characters breathe and contemplate. The blu-ray is excellent, with a decent amount of special features, and the Noir version of the film, presented in black and white, which works surprisingly well and is effective. I hope we get to see superhero movies continue to explore varied avenues like this, and breathe variety, diversity, and art into these characters and franchises.

A fantastic X-Men story gets a phenomenal transfer

For X-Men fans, "Logan" is a great experience to be revisited multiple times. Twentieth Century Fox has mastered yet another reference material disc for your enjoyment. The video transfer looks great on 1080p and 4K HDTVs (we have both) and the DTS-HD MA 7.1 audio puts you RIGHT INTO THE THICK OF THINGS! If you have a receiver capable of DTS:X Neural audio, your height channels will show off those channels well. The movie itself is truly excellent and shows how well James Mangold (director of "The Wolverine" and "3:10 To Yuma") can bring Logan's persona to the screen. If you're an X-Men fan AND a fan of reference home theater experiences, don't miss this one. Highly recommended.

    Logan Steelbook

It's a steelbook, so quality is the same as all of them. I think the choice of McNiven drawing the cover for this case was a great idea, since he drew the Old Man Logan comic series. I think the movie is great. it's a good character piece, sure there's fighting, action, chases, but it's not focused on that. It's focused on familial relationships, the differences in generations, wanting to leave a better world for your children to live in. The Noir version is good, but it really only captures the correct tone in certain scenes. I think it's the best Wolverine movie they've made. I wish the previous two were made with this same care and dedication to the character. I like

I got it on Black Friday 2017 for about $14.99, I believe it normally goes for about $24.99, so it was a pretty good deal. It comes with the 4K UHD Copy of the movie and the Noir version, as well as the regular BluRay copy and Noir in the same format, lastly is the Digital download included. The digital actually gives you the option of app to go through between ITunes, GooglePlay Movie, or Vudu, as opposed to the majority that chose to always use Vudu. I haven't gotten to see it in full Native 4K since my PS4 Pro is garbage and doesn't have a UHD player, but the Bulray was still amazing quality. It definitely is one of the few movies I recommend to be owned in 4K.

This gritty film looks fantastic in 4K UHD, I was a bit disappointed though when I saw the the digital copy isn't in 4K UHD but in HD after buying it so I had to buy a digital 4K UHD copy on one of the streaming library services that put's all your purchases together in one location. Eventually I'll get a 4K UHD player but totally worth purchasing if you have a 4K UHD PLAYER. Looks very sharp and brighter than the original HD version.

Logan: For The Serious Wolverine Fan!

I had no technical issues with the DVD, but did not view the Blu-ray as yet. Logan is for the serious Wolverine fan! A casual viewer not versed in Wolverine lore might find the story to be very dark, and might be turned off by it. As for the serious Wolverine fan, this movie is a fitting end to the series. There is great emotional gravitas, and a rawness that flesh out the characters. The young lady played opposite Logan is a joy to watch. She is already developing into a fine actress at such a young age. This is not your happy go lucky garden variety super hero movie. Which is why this one shines in its dark seriousness. You may even shed a tear . . .

Excellent presentation of a great comic flick

I'm not into that many modern comic flicks, they're all about selling the next installment and comic relief rather than proper character development or stakes in the plot or characters. Logan moves around that obstacle by being a self sustaining film where the point is about where these characters are in their lives rather than a giant black hole destroying a city. The presentation here is great, giving you two versions of the film (the second being the black and white Noir version) with excellent visuals and immersive sound design. My line complaint? That the Dolby atmos multidimensional sound mix is only on the 4K discs and not the 1080p blu's.
