Not as great as people say. Good movie but it left me wanting more from Wolverine.

I love the other Xmen/Wolverine movies, but this was a disappointment. I give it 3 stars because there is still good action, but I don't like the characters. Especially the girl. She spent the majority of the movie never speaking, just glaring and screaming. Nothing about her to make you root for her or care at the end.

As a long time Wolverine fan, (I read the X-men comics for years when I was a kid in the 80's), I've never liked the way he was portrayed in the movies. He's just never been done right. Although this one is very dark and they finally give Logan the R rating he deserves it's still a pretty lame movie. There is not much of an explanation as to how the X-men all died, (movie version different than the comic). I would have appreciated a short flashback of this pivotal moment. They totally changed X-23's story and made it stupid. About the only good thing I can say about the movie is they made it nice and gory. Logan cuts off limbs and shoves his claws through many a head. It's just a shame that Hollywood never managed to make a decent movie with this iconic character. I would say that this is the best Wolverine movie..................................... but that isn't saying much.
