The privacy shutter comes in handy when I want to temporarily pause the mouse and use a regular mouse. I don't use the mic.

I am returning it as it doesn’t live up to the features; it doesn’t scale to 1920x1080 as said on the box. In OBS at least, it has a weird aspect ratio and even after tinkering with it to force the advertised resolution, it didn’t play nice. It distorted/stretched the edges and sides of the frame, which leads me to think that it’s really not a 1920x1080p camera. Camera is grainy, and it’s evident in the streams I did at night and had to rely on my studio lights. It doesn’t illuminate me well in daytime recordings either. It also has a fixed “hyper” zoom, so it will get a tight frame of your face and there’s nothing you can really do about it. It doesn’t play nice with NVIDIA Broadcast software (or OBS in general), as background removal doesn’t work and routing camera output through NVIDIA Broadcast “corrupts” the camera’s output.

The price was more than excellent for the great quality of this camera. Only needed the camera for the rare online doctor's visit, I don't live online, so I was a little bothered at the prices on other cameras. I was not about to put a lot of money into it, but I wanted something that didn't break in a couple of months. Naturally, I went with Logitech which has always come through with great products at really great prices. This was no different...better quality than I expected.
