I have purchased 3 of the Logitech C270 web cams, (one for myself and 2 for coworkers). 1080p, stereo microphones, etc. don't matter for basic use, There are plenty of unknown brands out there. I chose Logitech because they are well-known and make quality products. I could have purchased from Amazon, but choose to purchase from other retailers whenever possible.

It comes a good price point and was basically plug and play for my computer. They could have put a fish eye view as an option to capture a wider angle on the room as I use this for video conferencing at my office.
