Doesn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech webcams are among the most popular and highest rated out there but, what they don't tell you, what you only discover when you start reading all the customer coimments on the posts, is that there is a widespread problem with them not working on new computers. This is my second attempt and it fared no better than the first. It worked fine on my 7 year old laptop, but not at all on my brand new desktop, a new computer that has given me no problems with any other application or device. There were dozens of solutions offered both on YouTube and on the message boards, I tried them all, none worked. So don't buy Logitech for new computers. I have wasted way too many hours on this so-called "plug and play" device and to no avail.

Decent purchase

Once receiving the webcam I was distraught because the Logitech site did not have the software available for MACs and OS. After doing a little googling I found a link on an Apple forum for the download and it worked perfectly. Which is: http://www.logitech.com/pub/video/quickcam/lws220.dmg So beware MAC users before purchasing this product.

Great camera if you are using only on the computer

In order to focus it you have to take it apart. This presented a problem because I was trying to use it like a document camera during a workshop I participated in. It would have meant constantly taking it off the tripod, removing the front and adjusting it. I didn't not have the time to do this.
