Just ok but serviceable if on a budget

It’s serviceable, but tends to wash out skin tone in normal daylight. I actually found it quite good in low light for what its worth. But it was a little grainy for my tastes and the washout was a dealbreaker for me.

You can adjust the brightness and other settings with your computer settings as well as most video programs will have some adjustment available as well. Why such as short cable?

HOWEVER, the cable was not long enough to reach from the tower to the top of the monitor, so I needed to purchase a separate extension cable.

cable not long enough

The reason being the usb cable was too short to reach the back of my computer. Packaging should have stated the platforms that the webcam was developed for.
