Bought this one because it was the best available at a price I was willing to pay. The COVID 19 has increased demand and resulted in limited supply. It is sturdy and supposedly built for travel, which makes me think that the lack of a cover over the lens is a mistake. I would imagine if I were to travel with it, I would have to wrap it in something when I threw it in my bag to protect the lens.
