I purchased to view product flowing through an x-ray machine that I was setting up for a customer. The quality is decent in a well lit environment, but I really wish that Logitech had integrated some sort of LED lighting. I was able to use the mini tripod as a temporary handle, which I used to feed the camera into the side of the x ray machine compartment. Saved me from having to go out and purchasing a high dollar item like a go pro. Not bad, but again a built in light would be great! I used the video capture software provided on the Logitech website. Pictures taken with adjustments to exposure to see in dark space.

It also works fine with voice recognition software. It comes with the stand so it gives me greater flexibility as I use it with the desk that can raise up so I can work at it standing up. I really like this purchase. It was easy to set up. A true plug and play addition to my set up.

Plug it in and it automatically linked to the stream app. I would recommend 100% for new streamers or anyone that wants a good quality stream for not a high price. Comes with a small tripod that works really well it also sits on a monitor or you can sit it on the table by its self with the adjustable base that is built on it.

Got tired of updating my updates and saw this the day before an important Zoom meeting. Absolutely one of the best puter cameras I've used. Being that the 1st puter I had was before DOS was invented, says a lot about my feelings.

Bad in bright lighting.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It's nice to put up on the big screen TV so I can use it for video conferencing, but the image is pretty average to me. It doesn't handle bright hot spots well at all. If you have flat lighting, it looks good, but if you have any bright spots, it clips hard and looks bad. Definitely subpar to the cameras they use in an iPhone or a Galaxy from Samsung. The more light you feed into it, the worse it looks. It's like they focused so much on improving low light quality that they sacrificed it's ability in well lit scenarios. The photos I uploaded are of it in very dim lighting, basically just lit by my computer screen, and then when I have a bright bulb lighting me. The software allows you to adjust brightness, contrast, focus, color, and white balance. You can't control the exposure or iris separately. Lowering the brightness in bright light just turns the overexposed parts of the image to a muddy gray instead of adjusting the exposure. I wouldn't say this is a >$100 quality webcam. For a device with "Pro" in the name, it lacks professional controls. I'm a professional video editor. This isn't professional equipment.

I had a friend who was using a different brand, and it was always glichy. So I bought this for them. They have not had any issues since. It is plug and play -- no technical expertise needed. I recommend getting the stand with the webcam, it gives you more flexibility for zoom!
