I got it for my teenage daughter so we should have a keyboard as well as a touch screen for schoolwork. This keyboard is very sturdy and allows for the apple pen to be charged as well.

If that doesn't bother you, then it's an awesome device, but for me it was a deal breaker. I went to the apple store and tried the magic keyboard and it had the loud click, so I just decided to buy an external keyboard unattached and use a mouse-keyboard combo. I really liked how the kickstand worked, and the detachable keyboard was perfect.
