The only downside to this particular model is that it has a detachable keyboard. I bought one for my iPad Air fourth generation and it is fixed to the backing of the keyboard case which is much better.

I know an iPad is not a direct replacement for a laptop but this case and keyboard make it close to one. The option of having a decent sized keyboard and trackpad or removing them to go back to a tablet is fantastic.

It's also facilitating my daughter's study because she has a broken arm. One thing I didn't like was how I can't turn the keyboard all the way around to keep it attached while using the iPad to draw. The pen would also be a lot better kept inside the case
