The other (which was a for someone else) was in a box that seemed to be unopened. When the recipient received it there were not packaging element or documentation items. The case functions well. However it was not clear that it had already been unpackages and accessed.

Track Pad is an issue.

However, the track pad is not consistent when using and that issue can be frustrating. If you have an Apple Smart Keyboard for an iPad 7th or 8th Generation, you are better off purchasing a Logitech Pebble i345 mouse. The Pebble is easy to operate and is consistent when using.

If you haven't done so, you may want to download the Control App, which you can find in the App Store. It will fine-tune the keyboard lighting, make firmware updates easier, and more. But the Logitec keyboard and stand is superb. Wifey is ecstatic about it and my being a longtime IT nerd, the brand is top notch reputation

Surprisingly good iPad keyboard- at a good price.

The key travel is minimal and feels good. The various levels of backlight intensity is good. I Overall, a good product that has a nice “feel” to it. Should last a long time. The pen loop is an added convenience.

Great keyboard + case for iPad 7th and 8th Gen

I have an 8th Gen but it works for 7th Gen as well. Sometimes it's just easier when I am trying to type up an email so there's more screen space. Only things is that sometimes if the keyboard was already attached the last time I used it, when I flipped the iPad open, it won't recognize the keyboard for some reason so I would have to detach and reattach again.

He doesn't use it much - keys not quite right with his arthritis. But I think it is great. If it were mine (no arthritis, woman with small hands) , I'd use it all the time.

Works great, but doesn’t last long

We did not really start using the keyboard until August or September 2022 and approximately just over one year later, which is coincidentally how long the warranty is, the keyboard started having connection issues at the magnet strip that attaches to the iPad. In order for my kids to use the keyboard, I have to constantly adjust the angle that it is set at so it may connect. I am concerned if I purchase a new one we will have the same issues and it’s pretty expensive to have to buy a new case and keyboard combo yearly.
