Half the price and provides more protection. The backlit keyboard is a nice feature and I find myself using this more than my desktop and laptop now.

I have a 3 year old iPad that I like to carry on trips in lieu of a laptop but I am very slow with touchscreens. The new keyboard attaches magnetically and turns my iPad into a laptop. When I am using it only to read I unclip the keyboard and it makes a very light ebook

The keyboard also disconnects from the case when you don’t want to use it! Highly recommend!

Keyboard worked great but, The problem with it is the Apple pen holder. If you travel with it your pen will keep falling off if you keep it in a bag. The older one was better because it had a small Magnet flap that goes over the pen to keep it in place.

Only downside thats a bit of a problem for me is the weight and the amount of space it takes up. That flap on the back sticks out when working on a small desk too, and makes it longer than my laptop would be.

I love the detachable keyboard so it's less bulky when I don't need it. The rubber on the actual case can disfigure, but I bought the replacement plan and its brand new and looks great again. Definitely worth the price especially if you're planning to not upgrade ipads in a while.

I hate using the on board keyboard on the iPad and this is it!! I love Logitech prices and they make sense compared to the Apple branded products. I don’t really have any downsides and my iPad Air and keyboard are my daily drivers for school.
