It’s absolutely compatible with the iPad Air. I was hesitant in the beginning to buy a non Apple product however after using the product for work and personal use. I was really glad I bought it and not the more expensive Apple keyboard.

It’s more expensive but worth the pennies

The detachable keyboard just makes it so versatile to transfer between note table and working pc. I am happy that I spent a few extra bucks to get this, and I would recommend you to do the same. Remember, buy nice or buy twice.

Great keyboard

But once i got this one I wish i had bought it sooner. Very good typing exprience and a top notch touchpad have transformed my ipad air 4 into a more fun ane productive device. And its priced much better than the apple keyboard case. I am very happy with this purchase.
