I decided to get this boom arm since I already have the blue yeti microphone, but I was a little bit disappointed, and the reason why, is because it’s imposible to keep it in place because of how much tension it has, you have to force it down and it would just go back up, slowly or fast. To be able to keep the mic near my mouth I had to put the boom arm almost straight “———“ <— literally like that. Quality is not bad, although you do feel like it’s going to break when you’re forcing it down a little bit, and apart from that it’s looks good.

Arm won’t stay in desired position

Bought this with a HyperX quadcast s mic, the tension is still too tight after loosening it as much as I could. Mic arm still goes up and will not stay in my desired position. Looking to find ways to add possibly weights. Other than that looks great and quality materials. Would recommend if you have a heavier mic.

Hi Henry! Thank you for the review on the Compass Boom Arm. For additional adjustment, you can fine-tune the internal spring tension. Inside the base of Compass, you will find the spring tension screw. Rotate the screw counter-clockwise to loosen the tension which may be necessary for lightweight microphones. This would be in addition to trying to fixate the external tension knobs. I hope this additional bit of information enables you to tighten the Compass Boom Arm to be able to hold your HyperX Mic in your desired location! Kristi from Logitech

Quality Mic Arm For The Price

Overall build quality of the arm is stunning. The integrated cable management makes hiding the wires effortless. Would recommend to anyone with a Blue Yeti microphone. Only down side to the mic arm is that there’s no way to pivot the mic at the end of the arm. Other than that a quality mic arm for the price. Great spring tension with the ability to customize it your liking and set position.

Its a good microphone stand with many cool features. Its got incredible build quality but my only complaint is how stiff it is. Yes, you can adjust it but I have an AT2020 and I still cant get it in some position without it just moving upwards. It will break in a little overtime but overall its an okay mic stand. Great for heavier mics though

Overall it’s very easy to use and to install. I would recommend using it with a heavier mic otherwise it will just go straight up and it won’t stay where you want it.

Looks nice, much better than the ones with the visible springs. Worked well with a yeti mic. Reading about the issues with the plastic knobs for adjustment, I decreased the spring tension to minimum (the bottom screw) and then was easy to adjue pressure on the knobs.

This mic arm has been working great other than the fact that the mic arm is way too long. It articulates well, it is smooth, and very easy to set up. The only complaint I could have is that some microphones might be too light and the mic arm will move back up after adjusting it.

Quite finicky and certainly isn't a one size fits all, but is super durable and can support most desktop mics just make sure to check the fit before buying.

Works great with all Blue mics - have both a Blue Yeti Blackout and the Spark Blackout XL. The Blue Yeti attaches directly while the Spark has an anti-vibration attachment that it came with that attaches. As someone who was skeptical on if this was necessary, I can say I noticed an improvement in sound quality immediately once I got my mic off my desk and in the air. Also of note, I do use software noise filtering, but now that it's on this stand, it 100% removes mechanical keyboard noise as opposed to maybe 50% before. Build quality is superb. Bends in three distinct places, easy to attach to my desk, easy to adjust, stays adjusted without moving over time, and very easy to move back and forth out of my way when not in use. It's pricey, but I'd say the quality is worth the money.

The arm boom is made of good quality it feels heavy and it’s easy to install and use with your microphone. There only one giant problem it’s too hard! Meaning even with the weight of the blue microphone it’s hard to bend it downward. I honestly recommend to look for a cheaper option arm boom that looks the same.

I was enthusiastic about this purchase initially however, I ended up returning the purchase for a few reasons. First and foremost I will start with the pros from the purchase which is why initially I gave this a shot I thought it would be perfect which it was for my blue yeti mic. Now after this is where I encountered multiple problems that led me to return this purchase and after some research online it is the biggest complaint. Once the stand is clamped to my desk I followed the directions about the resistance and locked the stand into the position you found best. No matter if I tightened the resistance or loosened it the stand would not keep its position. It would fling up and out of place straight forward. It seemed the resistance no matter how adjusted wouldn't work it had too much of it. So consider that being a problem if you buy this stand. The quality of the building material is great and the cable management but with how it sits you can find a cheap stand on amazon for way less. I expected better for the price.

This looks nice and seems to have nice build quality, but the tension on it is way way too much unless you're using an extremely heavy mic. Skip on this one unless you know you are using a very heavy XLR mic

Great microphone boom arm with cable management divots and clips. If you want to know, it does NOT support Elgato Wave:3 as the microphone is too light for this arm and will contantly raise.

I'd like to start off by saying it has been a PAIN to keep this arm at a lower position.. No matter how tight (even broke one and returned it..) you tighten those joint compressions it will still raise up as you bump or gradually over time. I had to tie and tape mine down.. pretty annoying system. Overall quality is superb. Materials are high quality. Design needs modified somehow. Still better than most all the amazon ones & i can pick it up locally.

It’s very sturdy and the cable management is a plus. But you just can’t position it to your specific need. Look up YouTube videos to better understand what I mean.

This is a sturdy boom arm that you can tell it has quality. It's designed to be used with Blue mics and I'm using it with an Elgato which is on the lightweight side therefore I had a challenge in getting this thing balance. I was eventually able to achieve it. The reason for one start less, is that I would like it to have more mobility and maybe get different angles of position, but overall it's great.

Build quality is amazing, but doesn't position where you want it all the time. It is very stiff when moving. Be prepared to have your microphone and 15 minutes of time so you can fine tune the adjustment points.
