I use it w/o a mouse pad and at times it seems harder to control compared to some of my other Logitech "mice". The price was right though.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the color, but there is a delay of a couple of seconds, after clicking the button, or moving from one pane to another, especially in e-mails, moving from inbox to reading pane. This delay may be something wrong with my computer but I purchased this same model mouse just before this one and it did the same thing, but gradually got worst. My highlight was throwing that mouse against the wall 4 times until it broke. That is why I got this one, but just realized it was the same model. May have to upgrade models, but have bought this model in the past and not had this problem before.
