It wasn't getting a good signal. So if you get this and it acts like it's disconnecting just move the receiver to a different port.

Beautiful medium-sized mouse perfect for lefties!

It also works really well for my left-handed daughter who prefers a medium-sized mouse. It was also easy to pair with my laptop and stays connected. The only flaw so far is that the battery doesn't seem to fit perfectly in the battery compartment, and every once in a while, it refuses to turn on until I adjust the battery slightly. Not a big deal, but seems to be a small design flaw and I deducted 1 star for that reason. It retails for $17.99 but I was able to pick it up on sale for $12.99. For that price, it's really hard to beat this mouse!
