Hard Pass
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was wonderful until it wasn't. It lasted 2 years and then stopped working. The app keeps crashing so I can't try updating firmware. Product support says I am past my warranty and the app has to be reinstalled several times before it might possibly work. I paid $175.91 on April 8, 2021. It stopped working sometime in May, 2023.

Heavy thing

Posted .Hello Birby! I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the Folio Touch for iPad Air 4th Generation. When using the trackpad, make sure that you have gone to Settings - Accessibility - AssistiveTouch. You may have to turn this setting on. The cursor should be a small gray dot that appears on your screen. However, it does go away with inactivity. If you're still having issues using the trackpad, I would recommend reaching out to our support team here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000621393 to file a warranty claim. Thank you so much for this feedback and writing a review! I will definitely be passing this information along. - Maggie from Logitech

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent keyboard, when it works. I've had issues with my Ipad Air staying connected when it's sitting in my lap. The slightest movement can cause the connection to break temporarily. As far as being in my lap, it's a pretty big stretch. The case is well made, the word sturdy comes to mind. It has a fabric look that feels more like a plastic but does not show finger smudges which is nice. Seems like it would be good protection for my Ipad in case of a a fall. However, this thing is NOT lightweight. At 31.5 ounces according to my scale (Nearly 2 pounds) it's a bit of a heavyweight which defeats the purpose of a lightweight tablet. But it's still a lighter alternative than most laptops or chromebooks. Set up on a desk, and you'd never know this wasn't an actual small laptop. The keys have a good feel, are decently spaced for the size, and there was no issues with typing. Touchpad can be a little wonky from time to time with response, so you might need some extra finger taps to do what you want. Since it's powered off the Ipad there is no need to separately charge it. This confused me for a minute when unboxing as I was looking for a charging cord and port. The backlight keys are muted, but they do stand out in darker rooms. Speaker cutouts are perfect, no muffling of sound, but I typically use headphones. I did not measure battery drain, but it didn't seem to adversely affect battery life. Typically I plug in, and had no issues with the charging port size. All in all, it's a good option to increase the versatility of your Ipad air.

Great Alternative to the Magic Board
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent Folio. Best non-Apple keyboard so far. Keys feel good, back light is a plus with the adaptive light feature. The touch pad almost feels like a lap top, except there is some lag at times, hoping an update may solve this. Short cut keys are great. So to sum it up! Pluses Priced right for what this folio has to offer compared to the cost of the Magic Keyboard Typing is fluid and effortless with this laptop designed keyboard with intuitive back light or control on demand Has short cut keys!! Power and pair in one click Multiple 40 degree view angles Magnetc Catch strap also houses a digital pencil Case feels regal and very sturdy Things I would change: Minuses Case is too thick on edges, some C cables and USB hubs cannot reach the connection to the pad (case interferes). Track pad has laggy operation at times (maybe patch/update needed) A little on the weighty side, but this is just nitpicky. The Air Pad is thicker anyways. This is still a quality product and glad I can use this. I think Logitech came up with the right cost and value for this Folio.

Nice Keyboard Case!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lets clear something first, this iPad keyboard case does not have a detachable keyboard and it's fine since the description doesn't promise that xd... now that we are clear I can start with the most attractive thing about this folio case is the trackpad that in my opinion is pretty cool considering previous models that don't have that feature. Truth has been told, the keyboard- case is kind of heavy but let me tell you that that "issue" is compensated with the protection, the keyboard-case cover the whole iPad and it feels really protected. In practice some times it feels bulky and heavy but I believe that a tablet in that price range should be protected as much as possible, through the time one can get used to it. Its going to depend on your needs if this keyboard-case can become a must for you, what I mean is if you're looking for something more "light" and simple, this case may not be for you, however if you like having your iPad well protected and having a nice features like trackpad, shortcuts keys and backlight on the keyboard this is for you. This is my second Logitech iPad keyboard-case that I own and stills the same issue for me which is the delete button, it is placed under the lock screen button, maybe it's me but some times I locked the screen when trying to delete something, besides that I didn't have any problem with this case so I can recommend it, it worth the price (compare with the apple magic case which is a "little" expensive).

Great protective carry all case especially on sale
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If your getting a case with a keyboard then weight should really not be a concern as almost all keyboard cases will add substantial weight to your light iPar Air. This is very true for this case that will add in excess of 22 ounces. But the case is slick and relatively ease to setup and adds a world of possibilities turning your device into a full desktop. Beautiful smooth track pad, backlit keyboard, excellent keyboard travel, built in Apple or generic pencil holder and great view angles. Not a blue tooth connection but a physical connection and keyboard gets its power from the iPad so that is kind of a negative. I think fir the weight that the keyboard should have had its own power. But overall I like the functionality of the trackpad, keys, backlit and the various angles though some can be precarious. 4 1/2 stars.

Not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not get this. Solid Choice for a Keyboard Case w/Touchpad
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I and members of my family have had several different iPads over the 10-plus years they have been out, and consequently have a great deal of experience with various keyboards and cases made specifically for them, both Apple branded and from 3rd party manufacturers such as Logitech. Logitech has been the clear winner for quite some time, a go-to for Apple accessories. I really like Apple’s Magic Keyboard with Trackpad, but it is pricey, to say the least. This is a great, lower cost alternative which checks all the boxes. First the positives, of which there are several. The case itself is sleek and polished-looking, smooth to the touch and in a nice neutral grey color. The iPad can easily be tucked into the case due to the rubbery material which has just enough give in its rigidity to not make it a fight to get it secured within it. Once in, it’s nicely protected on all sides with precise cutouts for the speakers, Touch ID button, lightning port, Apple Pencil charging area, camera, etc. The keyboard keys have a good feel with enough travel (Apple’s Magic Keyboard feels better in my opinion, but Logitech’s is quite good). I can type at 100wpm and I can achieve that on this keyboard. I like the row of shortcut keys at the top, for such things as volume and brightness. And best of all, the keyboard is backlit as well. Another big plus is the automatic pairing via the iPad’s Smart Connector—no Bluetooth pairing needed, ever! And no having to charge up the keyboard, ever! It’s one of the best features of this keyboard case. Also a positive—the adjustable kickstand on the back. I really like that I can choose various angles in which to set the iPad, and not just have only one or two choices. And there is a slot in which to place the Apple Pencil when not in use and when you don’t need to charge it, built right into the magnetic flap closure; or, you can charge the Apple Pencil and have the case closed at the same time if you so choose. So, a few negatives. I was extremely disappointed in the trackpad. While I was using it I found that technically, only the lower two-thirds of the trackpad area is actually “clickable”; that is, if I would press anywhere above that, it won’t click—it won’t work! It’s as if it’s on a gradient—beginning at about one inch down of the trackpad, you can click, but you have to press hard for it to click, and it gets easier/looser the lower you go on the trackpad. So as I’m using the iPad, typing away, then using the trackpad, naturally I don’t look down at the trackpad to use it, I feel for it and click—but it would be extremely annoying to press down and not have it work, then remembering that I needed to bring my hand a bit lower in order to have a successful click. The only reason I am being so specific about how the trackpad works—and doesn’t work—properly is because the trackpad is one of the biggest features of this keyboard case, and the issue isn’t minor. Also, when you close the keyboard over the iPad (to close the entire case), it does not turn off the iPad automatically and vice versa so the case does not work with the auto lock/unlock feature that way. Finally, a minor negative is the added weight of the entire case—be prepared for the substantial weight increase, but this is to be expected if you want the convenience of an all-in-one keyboard, trackpad, kickstand, and protective case. One more thing that bugged me a lot—while it’s nice to have the different orientations with which to use this case with your iPad: landscape mode with keyboard or with keyboard tucked out of the way underneath, keyboard swung totally flush on the back of the iPad in portrait mode for reading, positioning the iPad at almost limitless angles—two of those orientations are a bit dicey. Folding the keyboard back behind the iPad in portrait mode to read is almost impossible because the entire thing is heavy—you will need to place it on a stand or something unless you have some serious muscle and stamina! And to tuck the keyboard away (to say, watch a movie or draw, so you’ll fold the keyboard underneath the iPad), the keyboard itself ends up face down on whatever you place it on. I’m very watchful of my electronics/tech stuff, so I don’t like that the keyboard is just mashed face down like that, it’s annoying. All in all, though, I would still give this Logitech Folio Touch keyboard case a good solid recommend, but it has some drawbacks that may or may not be meaningful to you. **P.S., I also tried this case out with my iPad Pro 11-inch 2018 release, and it worked perfectly with it—but only with that 2018, First-Generation iPad Pro 11-inch release, NOT with the 2020 11-inch iPad Pro.**
