Its very similiar to driving a real car. Great value. I was able to build my own gaming chair out of some wood laying around. You could easily mount the steering wheel to a tv dinner trey and sit in ur lazy boy. I feel so many need this to practice driving in weather.

Bought the steering wheel for my son to play GTA on his PS4. We’ve watched multiple videos and it will turn on and calibrate, but some videos are saying we need an outside device to actually connect it for it to work.

For the Christmas sale price of $199, this wheel exceeds all of my expectations. I purchased this as a gift for My son and his family to use on a Custom Gaming PC I built them to get them into Sim racing with me. My son and I used to race on old thrust master wheels with the fancy Bungee cords. LOL. ] I now race on Moza direct drive gear. So I wanted something much better than the old bungee but not as near expensive as my Moza Gear. From what I studied up on the G29 setup would work the best for this situation. Mounted on My old GT Omega rig this wheel and pedal setup comes really close to the amount of feedback you get with a Direct drive rig. No it is definitely not built like a tank like most semi pro gear. The shells are all plastic, but the feel of this wheel is awesome for the price. Maybe a tad small, but you get used to that. The paddles are nice and firm and very easy to reach, no miss shifts. We didn't get the H shifter yet, but it is on the wish list for this year. There are plenty of assignable button and knobs to make sure you are able to setup things the way you like. The Logitech G software has improved immensely in the last several years. I am less of a fan of the pedals than the wheel. Don't get me wrong they work absolutely acceptably. But I am used to pedals with a little more length/strength to them and the adjustability of tension and release points etc, easily. These are not that. Given I run Hueskinvelds, so it's not a good comparison. There are some mods to improve them but for now they will work just fine for My sons family. Overall for a starter Sim racing setup for a family, this is defiantly one of the better options out there right now. I have seen many reviews say to get the older models, ignore those reviews. Why buy something that is only going to be a huge software problem in a few years. The bugs have been worked out of these for the most part and they are solid, pretty reliable and should work for all your needs from I-racing to WRC Rally to Beam NG. Just buy them already and go have some fun. Being able to swap the G29 back and forth between his PS5 and the PC is one notable feature these have that is pretty kewl.

The Logitech G29 is a popular choice for entry-level sim racing enthusiasts, offering a solid balance of affordability and performance. Here's a quick review: Pros: Build Quality: The G29 features a sturdy design with a hand-stitched leather wheel cover and stainless steel paddle shifters, giving it a premium feel. Force Feedback: It uses a dual-motor force feedback system, which provides a decent level of immersion for its price range. Compatibility: The G29 works seamlessly with PlayStation consoles and PCs, making it versatile for gamers. Pedals Included: The set comes with a three-pedal unit, including a nonlinear brake pedal for a more realistic experience. Cons: Gear-Driven Mechanism: The force feedback is gear-driven, which can feel less smooth compared to belt-driven or direct-drive systems. Noise Levels: It can be quite loud during use, which might be distracting for some. Limited Advanced Features: While great for beginners, it lacks some of the advanced features found in higher-end racing wheels. Overall, the Logitech G29 is an excellent starting point for those new to sim racing. It provides a good mix of quality and functionality without breaking the bank. If you're looking for a more immersive experience, you might consider upgrading to a higher-end model later on.

For being built with a lot of plastic it is an amazingly durable product. These wheels are top notch quality for the price. When paired with a shifter the peripherals themselves add a new depth and a much more realistic feel than that of a regular controller. I really enjoy using the wheel and have found a new love for all of my racing titles. I recommend this specific wheel compared to any of the other brands of a similar price point. Second to none.

The Logitech G29 Racing Wheel and Pedals I'm using with my PS5 and PS VR2 and it is very fun to use. It's very easy to use, plug and play. I like the feel of the wheel and the force feedback is cool. The pedals work well, but the brake is a little stiff, but works fine. There are plenty of buttons to use. I don't have a shifter, but I like how the lights on the wheel show when to shift with the two wheel switches. The wheel clamps nicely and tight on my desk. Overall, it is a really fun and immersive accessory that compliments PS VR2 very nicely.

I've always wanted to get one of these but the price was always too much for me to spend on an accessory. Finally, the price has dropped enough to try it out. This is Great for a first time user! It takes a little bit to get used to it and adjust the settings to my liking but it's easy to use and feels pretty realistic. I really enjoy using this, definitely worth the money!

Get it for sims, not to much for "arcade racers"

I've been buying steering wheels since the Sega Saturn. This is essentially the same steering wheel as the G920, which I already owned since I do most of my racing on PC and Xbox, but I needed one for PS5 so I could play the latest Gran Turismo. I kept the gearshift and pedals that came with G920 and they work perfectly on it. I have it all mounted to the GT Omega Steering Wheel Stand found on Amazon, which I highly recommend for anyone who doesn't want to mount this to a table (more on that later). Newcomers to these peripherals may wonder why the wheel and pedals are so small, but when you're actually racing, the size literally does not matter. Your brain will feel like you're driving a car, period. Paired with virtual reality, it's like 90% convincing. I always thought I would eventually upgrade the pedals (and the gearshift that's sold separately or comes in other bundles), but they're just not as important or immersion breaking as you might expect. I literally can't imagine more expensive wheels having better force feedback than this. If you play racing sims, this is probably the wheel to get unless you're REALLY into racing sims, then you might consider buying more expensive options, but like I said: I literally can't imagine the force feedback being any more responsive. If you play "arcade" racers, stick to a gamepad. Incidentally, I think it's unfortunate the gaming industry thinks "arcade racers" mean you don't need decent wheel support... even though pretty much every racer ever made for actual arcades in the 80s and 90s had, you know, steering wheels right there on their cabinets. But that's where we're at and games like Need for Speed and The Crew actually perform worse on a steering wheel setup so don't bother if that's all you play. Other caveats to note: you just can't use pedals while sitting in a chair with casters. You've got to get a solid, stationary chair and you've gotta have some way to keep the pedals from sliding across the floor (doesn't matter if it's carpeted or hard, this WILL be an issue). Again, I suggest the relatively cheap GT Omega Steering Wheel Stand or something similar. I think people who claim this stuff works fine on just any chair and table/desk are nuts. Do not buy one of these unless you're able to get sucked into buying more expensive stuff.
