G303 shape with G Pro features

The Logitech G303 Wireless Shroud is a mouse that’s molded to the hand of a person you probably haven’t met. This mouse’s namesake is a famous Counter Strike player who was involved in tuning this ‘classic’ mouse design. I put quotes, as still the G303 and it’s predecessor the G302 are 2015 and newer mice, back when we were all pining for the G9. Classic is in the eye of the beholder, and if you were a fan of the shape of the G302 or G303, you’ll find the G303 Shroud instantly familiar. Angles are sharper, some parts are slightly larger, but overall it’s quite similar. That said, it is an acquired taste, so regardless of the specs, try this mouse out before buying if you can.
Now onto specs. The G303 Shroud brings USB-C (YES!), Logitech's Lightspeed wireless tech, dedicated forward/back/DPI buttons on top of the standard 3 buttons, Logitech’s flexible HERO sensor, a nice little drawer for the receiver to live in when you’re on the move, and no RGB! (ok preferences abound, but in a performance wireless mouse, I’d prefer the battery life over RGB I won’t see) Couple all those features with a super light 75g weight, this mouse is definitely geared to a high end audience.
The mouse is semi-ambidextrous when ignoring the back/forward buttons due to it’s mostly symmetric design. The presence of a dedicated DPI button is welcome over what’s found on similar mice. While there’s something to be said about a simplified layout, I think the G303 strikes a good balance of providing the standard 5 buttons and the dedicated switching button. As previously mentioned, the back of the mouse has a small drawer for the receiver to live in when you’re on the go.
Inside the box is a pretty standard USB-A to C cable that plugs into the mouse. Also a receiver adapter that allows you to keep the cable around for charging and simply plug in the receiver when you’re using it wirelessly. The lightspeed receiver is a USB-A plug, so the adapter unfortunately needs a USB-A port natively. I’d love to see a USB-C adapter as more laptops move to USB-C only plugs.
If you’re familiar with the sensor, the HERO 25k is a beast. Tracking is accurate and it works well on most mousing surfaces. Overall the customizability of this sensor (DPI settings from 100-25k), and a consistent lift off distance make it suitable for FPS, RTS, or pretty much any mousing need. The sensor and processor are also pretty energy efficient, offering plenty of battery life. Logitech claims 70h, and that’s about accurate.
There are no lights or other superfluous features. What you will find are two very slick pads on the bottom of the mouse. The sensor position is more or less in the center and about in line with my clutch grip. I do find that this mouse’s angles are a bit on the over exaggerated side. Logitech’s G Pro series is probably more comfortable for a clutcher like me, but to each their own. I found the side buttons to be accessible, but out of the way for clutch grip, which isn’t always the case on the G Pro.
Where this mouse stands out is it’s design and feel. Compared to more traditional shaped mice, it has pros and cons. It boils down to personal preference, and at this price, be sure you like it. The G Pro is an excellent alternative that is more familiar for most mice users. The G303 wireless brings all its features and focus on weight reduction with the G302 design. It’s hard not to recommend Logitech’s excellent mice, and the G303 is no exception. From a mid-range humble unit, to this tech’ed up wireless model, the G30x series are great mice.

The Logitech G303 Shroud Edition Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse is my new favorite mouse. It has a ton of options, feels good in my hand, and keeps a charge for a very long time. It is marketed as a gaming mouse, and does that very well. But it is also very suitable for every day tasks as there is no RGB, and is easy to take anywhere in a laptop bag. It has 6 buttons: left click, right click, 2 side buttons, wheel button, and DPI change button, all of which are programmable via Logitech's G Hub software. It has a matte black plastic exterior which does a good job of preventing it from looking grubby after long use. The weight (2.6oz) is a perfect balance between a heavier mouse like a G703 and a lighter mouse like a Roccat. My hand never got tired of moving it around even after long sessions. The tie-in with Shroud is that this mouse was designed to be his ideal mouse based off his hand size, his preferred clicking pressure, grip, etc. I think if you have small hands, you might find the dimensions of this mouse uncomfortable. I have medium to large hands and I love it. It is longer than other mice at just under 5 inches long. It is relatively flat, and also has almost a diamond shape with soft corners on the left and right instead of a typical oval shape. The left soft corner is between the 2 side buttons, to provide some perspective. I found my palm to be supportive and my fingers perfectly placed on the main buttons. The mouse wheel is rubber, with a soft noise when spun. The mouse can be used wirelessly via the wireless USB Type A dongle, and there is a range extender included if you use your mouse far away from your device. The mouse can also be used wired via the USB Type C to USB Type A cord/charger. Be aware that there is no Bluetooth connectivity if that is important to you. In wireless mode, Logitech states this mouse has 145 hours of battery life between charges. The G Hub software is where you can tweak all of the settings and powerful capabilities of the G303. It has a HERO 25K sensor allowing a range of DPI between 100 and 25600. You can set up to 5 DPI settings that can be quickly rotated through via the DPI button on top of the mouse. There is onboard memory in the G303, allowing you to use the mouse on a different computer with no G Hub software and it will still remember your DPI settings. With Logitech's LIGHTSPEED technology, the response time is 1ms which means that there is no lag and you won't be able to tell that you are using a wireless mouse. In use, I found it to be a joy to use. The corners allowed for a precision grip and quick movement. The software allowed me to make tweaks to the settings and find my own sweet spot quickly. I appreciated the lack of RGB, because it simply isn't needed and it isn't a distraction. The mouse wheel was average to use. The physical design allowed my fingers and thumb to access all the buttons easily, and they depressed in a satisfactory way. It is a great compliment to not really notice the mouse when you're using it, when it feels like an extention of your hand. That is how I felt about the Logitech G303. Light but sturdy, powerful but manageable, good for gaming or for any use. I recommend this mouse for all users.

This mouse fits my hand and grip style perfectly, to the point that I am planning on buying a few more of this mouse for future use and in case it is discontinued.
That being said, it is not for everyone. it just fits my hand. please go try one out or hold one before purchasing.

Lightweight Accurate Gaming Mouse for Claw Grips

The Logitech G303 Shroud Wireless is made for pro gamers by a pro gamer. It has a unique design that fits Shroud’s grip, who is a former CS:GO professional gamer now Twitch streamer. He must have similar hands as me because this mouse fits my grip comfortably. This mouse favors the claw grip style, meaning those who grip their mouse with a fingertip or palm-like style may have a different experience than me.
It is ridiculously lightweight, wireless, and no-frills. Perfect for competitive gaming like online shooters. It glides across my mousepad with ease and the buttons have a satisfying click to them. This mouse is fast and the unique shape allows you to quickly lift it off the mousepad during frantic firefights.
There are back and forward buttons for your thumb and a DPI cycle switch that is conveniently located right on top of the mouse under the scroll wheel which makes switching super easy compared to other mice I have owned. As with all Logitech G Mice, you can reassign the DPI button (or any of the buttons) using the Logitech GHub Software. I really found the DPI switch convenient in my Fortnite sessions as I could quickly choose a lower DPI for the new sniper rifle that is included in Chapter 3.
I’m so glad this mouse has a USB-C charging cable versus micro-USB that I’ve been using in my current Logitech gaming mouse. It seems like a small thing, but micro-USB really needs to become a relic of the past. Another nifty feature is an easy to use receiver storage compartment on the back of the mouse.
The only downside I could find is there is no RGB at all, not even the logo lights up. For me, I could care less, but I know some gamers are really into RGB options so it’s worthy to mention it. However, not having RGB could be a reason for the 70+ hours of battery life.
Pros:
Superlight
Incredible Battery Life
USB-C Charging
Hero 25K Precision
Up to 25,000 DPI
1ms Lightspeed technology
2 year warranty
USB Receiver Storage
Cons:
No RGB
Overall – this is an excellent wireless mouse especially for FPS or competitive gamers. I really enjoy using it and plan on using it as my daily for both work and play. However, it may be less comfortable for users who grip their mice with anything other than a claw-like grip.

Extremely lightweight responsive pro-grade mouse

This is a very high performing gaming mouse! Shroud and Logitech hit this one out of the park. If you’re searching for the ultimate performing, lightweight, no fuss gaming mouse, look no further!
The G303 features the professional grade LIGHTSPEED wireless technology which means you achieve almost zero latency (1 millisecond) with wireless unlike some of the other mice available out there today. Combined with the 25,000 dpi HERO sensor, you’ll hold in your hand one of the most detailed and precise sensors on the market. With how lightweight this device is, weighting only 2.2 oz, you’ll find yourself effortlessly dancing around your mouse pad whilst ruling your enemies in countless games. Battery life is an expected 70 hours of continuous motion, and the mouse features quick charging via USB-C (finally we have USB-C on a mouse!). If you’re a more portable user, the mouse features a nice little storage drawer for the USB receiver.
For even more functionality, you can download the Logitech G HUB software allowing you to customize button assignments, macros, dpi settings, etc. One thing some users will note is missing is some sort of RGB lighting, but I personally don’t mind the simplistic performance of the device. RGB lighting would be an added battery drain and could end up being a distraction. This mouse is supposed to be designed to Shroud’s hand, so it appears to cater more towards a larger handed individual. I have large hands and found the fit to be pleasant.
Overall, I was blown away at the performance of this mouse. It’s unbelievably responsive, lightweight, and just begging to dance around as quick as you can move it on your mouse pad. If you need a lightweight, wireless, high performing professional grade mouse, look no further!
